Thought I'd share the fun I was having all day with our "helping my sister" scammer who posted a 74 Safari in NC.
I hope the length of the dialogue helps others pick up on the scam.
They seem not to know what to do with the request for a photo of the VIN plate....must have forgot to get that one.
-------------------
First of all my sister is OK, the baby was OK since he was born, she is the one who had complications but now she`s a lot better, thanks for asking.
They will ship, in fact that`s the only option, they will ship the camper to the address you will provide in the registration form when you register. You will not pay any extra fees because the service is completely free for buyers. They picked it up so i don`t know which warehouse they have it located and i honestly don`t care because like i said the pick up is not possible and even if i know it`s not relevant, all i know is they have it nearby and the delivery must take maximum 3 or 4 days or less. So they must have it somewhere close.
You don`t need any transaction number before you register, they will know who is the seller and the item because you will enter my email address in the registration form which is
tubdodolotz@gmail.com and they will know it`s me and they know what i`m selling. They will notify me that someone registered, they will tell me your name and i will have to agree or decline, of course i will agree and they will send you the invoice. After that i already explained the rest of the process. I am sorry to hear about your wife and makes me sad when i see how many people have all kind of problems, gets me depressed too. I guess it`s not "all roses" for anybody.
Anyway, let me know if you have other questions...
Thanks

Deborah,
I think I misunderstood....they will ship the trailer to me? Sorry - You've said it a couple times but it didn't finally register until you said that they didn't do pick-ups. Do you know what location they are shipping from? Can I pay more to have it expedited? I really need to make sure it arrives on time otherwise I need to plan to go in tents and prepare much differently for our trip. I did check there website, but doesn't indicate they have a location in NC - where did you have to take the trailer to or did they come pick it up?
I think $3400 is a very fair price for the condition you've described, so let me finish what I think I need to do on my side. I might have to wait until Friday to complete the transacton as that is payday, but I'll see if I can move some bills around this week. Being the end of the month and our history over the last year, our landlord is a bit touchy about getting on-time payments by the 1st.
Were you able to contact EZ about taking the pictures of the title and the VIN plate? Also do you have a transaction # that's required or referenced on the EZ website? How will I or they know which item to invoice for?
Btw, in all the "business" and questions, I forgot to mention that I hope everything is ok with your sister and the baby. My wife has epilepsy and has had seizures ever since our sons were born further complicated by deep periods of depression and anxiety. So I know exactly how difficult these times can be. Spending time at the beach seems to really help her mood - so I'm really looking forward to making this all work out, our family could really use a break. I was fortunate enough to find a permanent job in May after being out of work for almost a year, so this is our first "big" purchase after getting back on our feet. I know a couple thousand may not seem like much, but when you're used to scratching out enough and still not paying the bills, it really changes your perspective.
Thanks again!

I am sorry but they will require the full payment, sorry if that is a problem for you. No problem with the questions and unfortunately that is correct, they do not allow pick up or viewing it because they keep them in their warehouses and only their staff has access there.
It has a NC title and like i said before the title is already in their possession already signed by me and notarized. They will hand you the title to verify it at the delivery but they will transfer it in your name only after the 10 days money back guarantee is over and you confirm you agree with the purchase. The service is completely free for you, you will not pay any additional fees, all the fees are covered from their commission.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks

Hemm. So you're saying there's absolutely no way to actually see/touch the trailer before committing funds to Ez? Sorry if this is a basic question...just haven't used ebay or craiglist to purchase anything as sizable as this before. Isn't there a way to make a deposit instead, say $400 and thne be able to inspect but not take ownership?
Also how does transfer of title work. What state is the trailer titled in? Does EZ issue a title in my state?
Also since there's a third party involved are any sales taxes involves?
Thanks for your patience....much appreciated!
