Airstream Parts, lots of em!
Up for sale is a 1971 Airstream, tradewind model. As you can see from the photos, unless someone is real dedicated, it's value is in parts and pieces. All the windows are in good shape and the door has just a couple small dents. (check out what, for example, the front window and door sells for!) The refrigerator stove etc. are inside and the condition is unknown. I'm sure there are pumps, tanks, valves, hardware still inside as well (there are still sheets on the bed, so it was in livable condition when it toppled) After all the parts are removed for a restoration project or put up for sale, the skin gets taken off for recycling. There must be several hundred pounds of that. (A price today for alum. foil plate, clean, free of paper, food, etc. sells for about fifty cents a pound, maybe a better deal can be found in your area) Then, have a bonfire and a beer with all the wood. Then there is a wonder full frame for a flatbed trailer. 1971 was the last year for the heavy frame in airstreams. The tires still have air after 8 years of being parked there, altho a couple are a little low. The condition of the electric brakes is also unknown. I am helping a friend sell this, I have little personal history of the unit. I would do all the parting out if, I lived closer, had more time to do the work, and needed a utility trailer. There are current plates for transporting the trailer, so with a little air in the tires and securing some loose pieces, it's probably good to go. Considering a good utility trailer is worth $2000 +/-, this has room for some profit. I have more photos that I can forward if desired. It is now located in Terlingua Tx. which is close to the Big Bend N. park. You can call me with questions or for more photos @ 520-432-3285.
"Some room for profit" teach me how.

Craigslist NH 1960 Airstream
Hi All,
Saw this on my local Craigslist and thought I'd post it here in case anyone may be interested. It looks pretty rough but I thought I'd mention in anyhow.

1964 Airstream for sale
Check out the Spokane, Washington craigslist where someone is selling a 22' 1964 Airstream for $3500. There are no pictures. That bothers me. If anyone is interested I can go and look at it for them. I believe I'm only about 10 miles from the trailer. This is the second time I posted this. The first time it did not seem to go.

It looks like there are pictures now, but if it's the same one you're referring to, I think you'll find it's a little farther than 10 miles It says Tum Tum, WA

I was thinking of heading out to look at it while I was in Maple Ridge today. Then I gave my head a shake and realized I haven't time for a project!

It's in the "barter" section. Maybe they'll work something out in trade instead of cash...

I'm thinking that this is not a 1977, nor an Airstream. Any ideas what it is?
