I have bought a 31' 1972 International Sovereign. I have no experience with Airstreams but I know they have a good reputation. The seller told me this trailer was/is one of the best built. Can anyone tell me really how good this trailer really is in relation to other years and models? And I notice it has some small parts missing like the special bolts that hold the fold out steps together and the knobs for the window push out arms. Where can I buy parts like this? Is there an Airstream factory that sells parts? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
I have the exact same model. Mine is in excellent condition. I am in the process of installing new axles on her right now. I don't know about the parts in question. Your best bet is to check out www.inlandrv.com. Since it is a vintage unit, expect to pay high prices for the parts. But it is well worth it, you have a fine piece of Americana. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
