I worked outside for many years up until I got a job in the front office.
I still have to go outside from time to time...

I'm laughing so hard because I get it! Woke up this AM complaining that it's December & we still have the AC on here on the coast of FL. Went out this afternoon and came home saying it's just too hot to be out shopping. Changed into swimming attire, then had a nice lunch and sat down outside in the cabana all ceiling fans whizzing away and watching the robot clean the pool and now "waiting" for a gorgeous winter solstice sunset on the beach from our back yard!
We're never satisfied with what we have, are we? Thanks for the perspective. No complaints here...although I wouldn't mind a cool, dry Christmas or maybe even a snowy week or two in MN or MT. 🤔
Merry Christmas to all 🎄

Some of us miss the snow!
Grass is always greener... or snow whiter! My usually ladylike daughter calls FL "Satan's ass crack" - we are ready to depart this hot, humid place once our commitments are fulfilled! Hang in there with the roomatism- v cute way to put it! Music helps my mood- that, and podcasts like The Minimalists.

Roomatism.....cute.
Like iaqstuff, I left the cold environs (Michigan for me) after Christmas in 1974. Was back for International this past year, and what may be covered in darkness and snow this time of year, is truly splendid in the other 3 seasons (maybe 2 1/2 depending on winter length). As others have said, the days start getting longer now, so start planning those trips!

Roomatism cure - take one part green tree, two parts lighting, three parts bangles, four parts beads, five parts wrapped packages and add six parts of holiday movies. Mix well with a reasonable quantity of adult beaverage, eggnog, or hot chocolate. Add a good portion of smiles from the previous trip pictures, future trip planning, and the adventures that the good folks here post.
You all can help a bit by sharing your roomatism cures. Brother put together a propane fire ring for the deck. Seems they talked a lot last night and felt no cold at all.
Happy Holidays. Pat

Today in Greenwood, MS is sunny and warm, but...
As soon as that sun sets..
Here comes Mr. Freeze.
My plan is to be in the house by about 5:15 and stay there till tomorrow.

We also wouldn't mind a snowy week somewhere... But of course I want the snowy week on the postcards on the postcards.
The kind you don't have to shovel the kind that doesn't get you cold the kind that isn't wet, yada yada yada.

Granny Clampett had just the thing for the roomatizz. A shot of her roomatizz medicine might not be a cure but it makes it easier to live with.

So get out and have some fun camping, winter or not. We are just returning from the Grand Canyon, 40 during the day and 19 at night. Winterization? I just use propane and enjoy the 19 and snow. We have camped in snow up to 2 feet deep what fun it is. Don't worry about freezing, as long as you have electricity and propane you are good for a lot of fun. We use about 5#s of propane per day when it is below 30. All electric above 30. Right now 5:00pm in Albuquerque, NM is 20 with snow in the west. Wind is about 10-15mph and we are toasty warm and loving it. Come join us and you will forget Roomatism is less than a minute.
Get Streaming and forget roomatism...
Hope to see you soon...

Setting in the Airstream right now. Windows are open. Fantastic fan is running.
Ready for that extra minute of daylight tomorrow, while fiddling around with maintaining the Airstream between meals and cool drinks.
Retired life is good!

Very grateful for the AC in FL otherwise I imagine your daughter could be correct! Also grateful for the world derful sea breeze too. However, music and a cold drink, possibly with an umbrella in it, even in winter - definitely a mood/game changer. I think none of us can really complain though because we have our Airstreams and whenever we decide the weather doesn't suit us we can just go anyplace our hearts desire.
Seasons Greetings everyone 🎄

Maybe roomatism is just a precursor to cabin fever in February and March when being crabby and fighting and raising a ruckus here on the forum is ok. Even expected.
Except now you're still supposed to be Merry about it all.
Even if youre a little bored.
Go ahead and call me deluded or something so I can call you an upstart and a fool
Get a little invective going so the roomatism don't set in.

Darker and colder here in Ontario. Airstream just outside our bedroom window is whining to travel but needs to wait another week until the temperature at our first four night stops heading south and southwest rise a few more degrees. Then again, we'll first need to dig out our ladder and remove the 12 inches of snow from the roof.

Worked in underground coal mines for 13 years.
In winter day shift, dark to work, dark at work, dark from work.
