It's a '63 Overlander, center twins, Jackson Center built, #191 off the line.

It is the spitting image of my 1973 Overlander. If you can get it without hassel you need to jump on it. You snooze you will lose it. Just make sure everything is legal.

Agreed.

Given the remote location, how did they get the materials there, possibly concrete, to build that wall? Perhaps the road was once a lot better one.

Nope...it's a '73. It has rounded windows and lacks a door-in-a-door.

Shari, the serial number is identical to our 1963 Overlander, only with one fewer digit for the sequential production number.
A 1973 would have a serial number of I27T3Jxxxx.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the trailer in the original thread starter's post. THAT one is clearly post-'69.

Guess you missed the hijacking post 27 .

If the trailer and land in first post does not belong to the person who posted it , WHY are they even snooping around it? Posting sounds like they think just gave it to them? Like someone said if it is not yours, it is not yours.Keep out. What part of trespassing and stealing do people not under stand any more?
Guess that is why I talk softly and carry a big gun.

Yes, I'm sorry for hijacking, but it was the most relevant thread I could find and I couldn't figure out which category to use for a new thread.

Thanks Terry.

Are you sure this airstream isn't made out of gingerbread? And you didn't follow a trail of bread crumbs to it?

Me thinks we might have scared this fellow off now and we may never find out the end of the story. I just hope the witch doesn't push them into the oven.

Almost always sunny here unless there is a hurricane bearing down on you. And then it's time to hook up the burb and roll. So far I've been very lucky.

Correction, what you have is a STOLEN TRAILER!

The fact that the owner is not standing in the doorway with a shotgun, and the sheriff is not parked next to it. DOES NOT mean you just found a free trailer.

Today I saw a perfect illustration of this. I took a road I seldom use and spotted an Airstream parked by a pond well off the road. I doubt I would have seen it if the leaves were on the trees.

I walked over and took a look, without touching anything. By the time I walked back to the road the owner was standing by my car. I explained what I was doing there and he relaxed and told me about the trailer.

He told me it has been parked there for 30 years. His family uses it in the summer as a guest house and when the children (now grandchildren) go swimming. His house is about 1000 feet away behind some trees.

So, just because you think a trailer is abandoned and unloved does not mean it has no owner. Whoever the owner is, it's not you.

By the way, the trailer I spotted today was a Land Yacht Safari, late 60s. It had square windows and square tail lights.

Ganaraska said it in a nutshell. It's not yours, so leave it alone! If I caught someone snooping around on my property the would be getting an interview with me, Smith and Wesson. Sorry, but I can't stand thieves, or people who tresspass, which to me is the preliminary step toward stealing.
