I Broke It

The wife and I went to Destin, Fl. last month for 5 days and it was wonderful. The weather was great and the campground (Top Sail) was the very best we could ask for.
Heading home on the last day we were going east on I-10 when it happened. We were rear-ended, by of all things a motor-home. Airstream was a total loss but thankfully no one was injured. So now I am back in the search mode. Takes a while to find one you really want.
Looking again
John

I can sympathize - Same thing happened to us in August, rear-ended by a commercial truck, totalling our '98 Safari. Good luck with your insurance, etc.

That makes me really sad to hear that. If our Lucy were totoaled, we would be devastated. I am even sorrier that it happened here in our home area. We live in Santa Rosa Beach, just east of Destin.

John, sorry to hear about your Airstream, but thank goodness nobody was hurt. Good luck with your search.

Wow~

Sorry about your loss. That must have been a terrifying experience.

So glad nobody was seriously hurt. The AS angels were watching over you!

My wife and I had an 18-wheeler jackknife in front of us on a narrow two-lane country road. Totaled our truck. We were on the way to the hospital to get a kidney stone removed (hers). Had to wait two weeks for her bruises and injuries to heal. Not a happy time. Took a long time for us to get over and she still suffers from the banged up knee she received years later.

Make sure you get both of you thoroughly checked out by a Dr. Don't sign any releases or settlements until you are sure there are no lingering injuries.

I worry about that all the time when towing in stop and go traffic on the interstate. Sorry to hear about your loss.

I am very sorry to hear about your accident. Fortunately you were not hurt. I am amazed that anyone can just get into a motor home and drive it down the highway and I am a motor home owner/ driver. Maybe I am more amazed that there are not more accidents.

John, The difficult experience is over. Finding a new rig will be the fun part. Sorry to hear of your experience and loss.
