Boredom
Well Bruce what you really need is to wake up to 30 degrees,we spent the last few days in Cedar Point NC Tonite we are in Hollywood SC a little warmer, tomorrow we head into Charleston SC to sight see and have some fresh seafood, in a couple of days we head to Edisto Beach then Savannah GA.. If you are still bored hook up the trailer and go someplace else, lots to see out there. Food Lion sells wine and beer.
See you guys at Carowinds. Greg & Bonnie

Well now,
"I'm bored" was more a passing moment that happened while we were waiting out the cold and wind here yesterday. We walked 5 miles today and spent the afternoon kayaking to Shell key and back. Saw lots of bird life, porpoise, rays, lots of fish and even some other kayakers. Life is actually pretty nice here in DeSoto.....
We just grilled chicken and fresh asparagus that we had with some pesto and tortellini. Life is good again.....

Boy am I glad you snapped out of it! My family grew up camping at Ft. DeSota and we can claim at least 150-200 nights there. I worked just north on St. Petersburg Beach and it was closer for the family to stay at Ft. DeSota on summer vacations than for me to travel home to Clearwater. We never had a bad day there! Our family has the distinction of being the very first group to ever camp there in a pop-up camper, as the original set-up was for tents only. I had to talk the Pinellas County Director of Parks (Jim Works) into it by convincing him our pseudo "Florida Camper" was nothing more than a tent on wheels. Fortunately I had a business relationship with Jim and that helped. That was way back in the early '70's. The company I worked for built the original Gulfside fishing pier that overlooks Egmont Key. My career moved on to Maine and, when it came time to retire, Florida had changed too much to appeal to me as a place to live full-time. Enjoy your stay and say hello to the 'coons for me!

We could suggest that you go clean your shoe closet but we know that wouldn't take long would it?

Look what you started Cracker! Tent trailers are everywhere here now. In the tent section you will find Class B's, tent trailers, Casitas and all kinds of ever larger campers. Confusing, but fun to see what people drag down here. It is all your fault too
I love seeing the raccoons. I commented to a park ranger that there seemed to far fewer raccoons this year and he told me that coyotes were the reason.
As you wrote your reply last night we were enjoying a fire in our fire pan ....

Sounds like BruceB is ready for a rally!
Weather is improving nicely at Edisto beach. Sunshine today and upper 60's.
Hyman's Seafood in Charleston is very good, ate there last week.
