I think we got a total of about 5.25 inches of rain in High Springs so far. Had one heck of a deluge after I dumped it. Not much wind damage at all here, just small branches, nothing major.

We first experienced Fay one week ago in Central Fla. Now, we are camped in Asheville NC where Fay has also found her way as well. Had hoped for a week of cycling and hiking. But this cursed storm just won't finish up. Pouring rain outside with 4 inches expected today. I know they need the rain, but, a whole week+ of nasty rain is getting down right depressing.

We got a ton of rain this morning and during the night last night here in the metro-Atlanta area. One of the local lakes rose by three inches in the last 24 hours and Delta has had to cancel over 50 flights.

This morning we had tornado warnings during rush hour. My route to work takes me right through the path of the warning, but fortunately I was behind the storm and not in it. We were lucky and didn't get a tornado, but there were some strong winds. I did have to take an alternate route to work to by-pass some of the accidents resulting from the storm this morning.

Right now the sun is shinning so I guess this band has moved through, but we are supposed to get more rain later to day and tonight through tomorrow. It's supposed to be mostly sunny and mild by Thursday, though, so that will help us to dry out.
