Newly married. 27 bought a like new used1979 25FB. Bought a new 2012 25FB. The 79 was better. Sold the 2012 and bought a 2015 Bunk. The GS service dog has her own room now. Life is riveting. 😄

I started a thread about age when pur. 1st. AS, still continual owner and still going without help doing every thing your self and present age. at that time I think and still do that i'm oldest in US. As I started at 29yrs. old when pur. SA. & now 82. This new thread is basically my past thread. Maybe mods can consolidate the 2. Prior to pur. AS. In early teens on ground then in back of station wagon then tent then SOB so been around awhile never with parents, by myself until marriage now have wife that also likes camping.

It took a while...but if you wait long enough it will happen!

As a young married man with three kids in was a lifelong dream to one day pull an AS across the country with a "blue" Suburban. Since that time there have been tents....a truck slide in...another tent...a truck camper top over the bed....more tents, a "pop up" ....more tents off the back of a motorcycle...and now finally at age 74...there is beautiful 2016 Sport FB22 sitting at the bottom of my hill nicknamed "Milley". She is in fact towed by a "blue" suv...but in this case it's a 2016 Ford Explorer Limited. The kids have all grown up but's the Grandkids that get to enjoy our travels.

That's what drove me to get a trailer early in adulthood. Too many camping trips as a child in an old canvas tent in Florida. Of course my parents decided the best time to camp was summers. Yet me grandparents were always close by in their airstream.

We just hit our one year anniversary of driving our new 2015 Sport 22FB off CanAm's lot. I was 35, a couple of weeks shy of 36. Husband was 38. Son was 5. No regrets
