How neat is this??!!
Dropped off our unit last Friday to have leaks chased in again. At that timeit was dtermined we need to remove all the old seam seal, and totally redo. Sigh. This is not a project we cn do totally be ourselves. Monday, my husband and I spent nearly six hours digging out the seams and cleaning. We got about a little more than half done. The shop, not an authorized service center, but the owner had seventeen years of working on AS before opening his own shop, agreed to do the rest, and to caulk all the seams with vulkem or parbond or whatever was good for AS. I sorta sighed, hunkered down, and prepared for the worst..... the bill! Gotta be done, gonna hafta pay for it. Sigh.
My husband just called and told me Ryan had called, the trailer was done. He says to me.... do you have any idea how much this cost?
Sigh. Had to be done. I won't be surprised if it nine hundred, I responded.
Are you ready for the bill? he asks. Sure. Shoot it to me. Are you really sure, he says. Get over it! I tell Bruce. Just give me the figure!
A hundred and fourteen dollars he says. Disbelief on my end. Are you sure he's got it ALL done? All the seams cleaned and filled? Uh-huh
Ryan only charged us this amount because he's worked on the trailer ever since we owned it, and only slowed the two leaks. And we spent time and energy trying to save some money and get it done faster.... he's not charging us for all the time he spent on it!
Now How neat is that??
Darn near made me cry. Now that's Customer Appreciation in the best way! And you can bet he'll continue taking care of our unit! Darn! Got blurry vision again!
