Dean,
Welcome to AirForums.
There should be a serial number plate under the window in front of the door.

There should be a VIN number stamped on the rectangular blue plate next to your door...if you copy it down & post it here, someone will help you decipher it. Or you can try yourself using the Photo Archives database as a guide.
BTW...welcome to AirForums!

I see you took my advice and moved the question from the blogs to the forums. Hopefully you will get the answers you need.
Good luck,
Mary

Need Same information
hi,i recently purchased a airstream land yacht, how do i find out the year?
There is no plates at door or anywhere else that I can located. the previous owner had started a remodel job and completely change door frame. I plan to finish the project. The Airstream is now placed in a permanent location, wheels removed, with interior wheel wells gone. Turning it into a man cave/bar structure on an RV lot.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You would have to post a couple of pics for anyone to begin guessing as to the year of your unit.

Hello,
I hate to beat a dead horse but I have had an old airstream for 15 years and I am having difficulty finding out its model year. I have pictures of tags by door but not sure how to decipher. I have read postings here but nothing seems to match. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx
Large plate says "Land Yacht" with stamped numbers 041 S 4135
Plate next to it says "Division of Housing" "This Trailer Coach approved for sale in California"
Stamped numbers M-4 S-4135 3779
Stamp on Hitch is not too clear but I believe it is: MC 574

Try this link: Airstream Service | Airstream
Look on the left side of the page toward the bottom for 1960's serial numbers. Looks like a '64 Overlander maybe.

Here is an old eBay listing of one that was 041S 4099. Must be a close cousin, and said to be a 1964 24' Airstream Tradewind. Rare too!

Everyone,
Thanks for the posts. The old Ebay listing looks almost identical from an outside perspective. all windows and such in same places. This airstream belonged to my grandfather and is in relatively good shape externally but need complete overhaul inside. I am going to put this on ebay or craigslist for sale as I have too many projects.
thanx again,
Chris
