A picture with something that looks like Holly to me, with a berry and some snow and branches very tastefully arranged....
Just kidding, I think it's Holly.
I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Looks like we get to have one around my household, my Dad came out of Quadruple bypass surgery yesterday with flying colors, so we're VERY happy.
A Happy, Safe, Healthy Holiday to All!!!

Prize?
Ok, where's my prize?! Do I get one of the fantastic new Airstream Forums Stickers? Oh, we don't have one yet, what's the hold up people?
From the looks of that snow it looks like it's the well below 32 degree, dry type. Not good for snowballs or snowmen, hey don't put the two together, you'll upset the neighbors!

(I FORGOT~!~)
I'll have a talk with the "operator" of that unit.
Happy Holidays ~!

BTW, JABBA..My one, and only neighbor, lives over 400 ft away. No one across the road and, to the West of me, close to a 1/4 mile away. Sorry, no snow ball fights here...lol

You might say:
Ron,
You should've heard the "howl" the neighbor down the road made 32 yrs ago when she heard, that our home was going in...lmao.
We've long since made/became good friends. I can understand her point of view. She and her husband moved here, back in the '30s, when land was real CHEAP..
The road I live on is 1.5 miles long and, this couple owns almost all of the land across from me..as well as, down the road from me on my side. They paid, according to her, only 5,000$ for it back then~!!
Someday, I'll go down the road and take a picture of their home, barn..etc. BTW, the BARN is huge~!~(At least three levels, if not four levels high and, I might add, in EXCELLENT condition..even has a widow's walk on the top~!)
ciao

Sounds like my kind of neighborhood! Not many Grouse or Deer or any other wildlife to see around there either, right?

You know
Jabba,
it's funny you should mention that...We have all of those and, bears even...
Abt the only thing I almost never see is rabbits..For some reason, they're very rare up here..
Got tons of chipmonks living in these old NE stone walls~!!
I've seen a flock of turkeys(maybe 15 or 20) running around my front yard..This is usually just after hunting season is over...lol
ciao

You won't have me to....
to kick around anymore..... Leaving for Texas in Jan [ I'll be back] and I won't have much access to a computer there. Thanks to all the knowledge I've gained on this site I was able to get the A/S in good shape. More to do but the mechanicals are good. Thanks and Happy Trails. Tom

HEY~
Tom,
It's been great..~
You, and the family have a safe trip in Jan..Happy Holidays wishes to you, your A/S..Wife, and dogs ! <G>
Watch out for those crazy long horns, and cattle traps.
Can you give a slight hint as to where you're going down there?
For myself, I lov' the Galveston, windswept beaches..Next to San Antonio, and El Paso, it's the one place I can really feel relaxed.
Keep up the good work on your A/S..
Drop a note when you can..ok?
ciao

53,
I can't wait to hear you howl when I'll set up camp down the road.
I might even convince that land owner to sell me some

Thanks.....
FlyingCloud..... et all. Been going to SPI for the last 6 years. I did park on the Gulf side beach [FREE] with my Conversion Van and pop-up for about 4 years when I first arrived there. Rarely opened the pop-up [too windy]...just a refrigerator on wheels. Gulf is now too rough without 4WD... moved to the bay, where it is flat as an airfield and dry. Last year the bay was closed to campers { didn't like boondockers, I guess} but I had my 'new' Airstream with me anyway [in a campground]....what LUXURY. The weather there is kind of unpredictable, last year it was plain terrible. Only a few good days, but SPI kind of grows on you!! FC I stop in Galvaston almost every time, parking along the curb over looking the Gulf. I like the Ferry! Then I take the coastal route 35 through La Vaca and Palacio. SEE YA! Tom

niftypkg,
I was in Corpus Christi, TX. for Thanksgiving and returned to TN. on Dec. 2. As the jet was making the approach to the CC International airport, I looked out and saw Padre Island and the causeway bridge. I can't tell you how many times I have traveled that road through Flour Bluff as my dad bought sunscreen and live shrimp for bait while on the way to fish. I just about grew up on SPI as well as fishing the Gulf. Have a good trip, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
