Help me find a Bambi - New or Old?

I am pretty new to Airstreams, and I am not sure which path I should take? Should I buy a newer Bambi, or go for an older one? I don't have the time to put loads of hours into fixing one, but I am pretty handy and can fix just about anything and don't mind doing minor repairs. Are there big advantages to the newer bambi's?

I will most likely start looking to craigslist to find a decent deal, but I don't really know what these are going for? I see there is one in the classifieds here for $19k, which sounds pretty high for a 9 year old bambi... Or is normal?

I would like to stay under $20k. Any advice on the years and what to look for?

That price sounds about right if it's in good shape. Look on the classifieds on here, there are several Bambis to look at with a wide price range. I gave an 06 CCD 29' and love it i wanted newer since i have a great 66 Mustang convertible that "almost finished" for @ 10 years. Good luck on your search.

This is like with a house, a new one or an old one? The residential feeling has passed away, also the Athmosphäre has differences. I am an architect and am glad to help an old Cruiser to shine again!
Greetings from Switzerland

By the way: An old house often comes more expensive than a new one.....

I had to drive from KC to Williamsburg VA to get mine! It was worth every mile.

Did you get the Bambi on Craigslist in Kansas City? I saw it and it was gone by the time I called.
