Talking Hello! (newbie alert)

Hello fellow travelers and assorted other humans.

I'm glad to have stumbled upon this site. Finally I can chat with my own kind, instead of those "square box" trailer folks.

I'm on the road full time with my 2003 A/S International 22. The beast is towed with a 2002 F150. No womens, no kids. Just me and the dog.

I look forward to learning from the more experienced folks here. I also look forward to making those same stupid newbie mistakes as well.

Peace, Love, and Chicken Fat!

Welcome

You may not need much of the repair advice with a 2003 but, it is a good site with a lot of interesting & knowledgeable folks who love the silver bullets.

Where are you planning to winter?

Hello and a welcome greeting from Kentucky!

I've been on here since May; there is a lot of information here!

If you have a question there is probably an answer! Just do a search and see!

Welcome fellow International AS owner. Perfect size and layout and just like having a little Classic with the wraparound windows in front. Too bad Airstream "Safari'd" it in 2004 by dropping the wraparaound windows. OTOH, there are just a few of us out there and that makes us unique.

Usually, it's just me and the cat. I do let the wife come along sometimes.

I'm hoping for the Florida Keys or anywhere in Florida. I haven't tested the heater properly yet, so I don't want any snow/cold/ice my first winter.

Welcome, Jeff. I was a newbie recently myself. I can assure these folk are friendly and mostly harmless, and eager to help. Just don't get us started talking about dogs and cats again

Just you and your dog and your airstream? Sounds like you're living the life!

I have been quite comfortable and nothing froze down to 26 degrees. Since there is no bellypan or heat to the tanks, I wouldn't advise using it in any colder weather.

I never use the furnace; worst case, 2 ceramic heaters more than kept the trailer warm enough at 26 degrees.

Hi there T! I'm new here too so we can ask all the dumb questions together and hit that hard learning curve. Wish I could just take off and travel with my '66 Safari - but have to take the husband and the kid - oh well.

Have fun - nice pup!

Hey T,

Hey stellablu, yet another deadhead on this forum, that's four I know of!

The pooch is Sushi Malone. She's part pointer, and part lab.

My plan is to escape to the south during the winters, then head back up north for the springs and summers. I have this allergy to snow/ice/cold.
