Thumbs up Fulfilling a lifelong dream!

Hi all. I am very happy to be able to say I am a new Airstream owner! It fulfills a lifelong dream as I approach retirement age. I just bought (well, last weekend) an International Serenity 27FB and I simply could not be more excited about it. I have read everything I can get my hands on, watched all the videos on Youtube, (Seriously!) and even read the entire PDF owners manual from cover to cover!

I pick it up from Prep this Wednesday.

I am a veteran to RV trailering and have owned rigs from 18ft all the way up to a 40ft 5-er, but this is my first (and hopefully last) Airstream.

I am so pleased to find such a huge community of experts from whom I can learn what worked and what didn't as I go about setting up my rig and making it mine.

I hope to see some of you on the road sometime!

Steve

Welcome to Streaming

You will really enjoy it. We bought ours in December. We live in Raleigh NC. Traveled to: Charleston, Savannah. Ga Mts. Mt Airy Area. (Andy Griffith stuff, etc. Each of our 2 sons took their families to the beach with it. South of Winston Salem last weekend with Piedmont Airstream club. Great folks. Off to Mt. Rushmore next month.

Plan on doing a couple of close to home trips to get kinks out. We had many!!! Local dealer has been great. Many have a few factory issues to get worked out.

This is a great season of our lives. Feel very blessed!!

Congratulations. We hope to get our first and last AS in August. And plan to travel all over US, and one day on PCH ...

Smile congratulations

We've had ours eight years and still love it. Problems, we have had a few, some our fault, some not so much. It is a joy to use and travel in, and we have been extremely happy with our travels. Hope yours treats you well and see you down the road. (Try out WBCCI, you have some good Units in Calif.)

Congratulations! You will love it. We had our first, a 25' International Serenity for two years and now on our second voyage with our Classic 30' sitting in Port Townsend, WA. You will experience some issues as we all have, they will be worked out to a point where you will resolve the minor ones yourself and pick up a few electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills along the way!

Way to go, Tin Man!!!

We bought our FC 27 FB new from an AS dealer in central CA a little over a year ago & in the past 12 months have put 25K miles on it & continue to be as delighted with it as when we drove it out of the dealer's driveway. I can only hope your experience will equal or better ours.

What configuration? We are considering 25FB with twins. We have a 22fB Sport now. When we back in our view is from the bathroom or overlooking the truck. We do love our AS though and spend as much time outdoors as possible.

So what's your ideal config? Depends on the camp site if crowded the view is another trailer or truck all sides ...

Congrats and welcome to our family.

We started with a used 25' after never having owned a TT. We loved it and upgraded to s new 28'.

We have seen things in our great country we would never have seen without our Airstream! You're going to have a blast and make some awesome memories.
