Forums Numbers

Here is a photo of my newly installed Forums Numbers on our Airstream. We think that they look pretty cool.

Looks good Moosetags. I think it would be cool to put our user names on the Airstream instead of the AIR number. If I see an AS with an AIR number rolling down the road, I don't know who it is, only that they are a forum member, which is accomplished just by posting the AIR sticker.

Now on the other hand, if I saw the same AS that said Moosetags, I would know immediately who it was. "Hey,That's Moosetags! I know that person!"
User names just seem more friendly than a number.

Maybe we should all have blue usernames on our Airstreams

We actually thought about putting moosetags insread or the number, but thought that it might look tacky.

The numbers in the front are 3" tall; the ones in the back are 4' tall. I had to do them in different sizes because of the space available. I premeasured the space and then had the numbers made accordingly.

Tacky....do you care? We should assemble a user name glove box hand book cross referenced to the numbers and names.

If there were such a directory, I think that a number would be easier to locate.

I like that

I am liking where you put the numbers moosetags.I have been trying to figure out myself where to put them also but now seeing yours I like the idea of putting them there better.I just did not know how it would look.I think I will be a copycat and do mine the same way as yours. Thanks for showing that.
Maybe fixing it so You can look them up in the search feature by typing there number in and it would pull up the forum members profile. Now I think that would be a cool feature for members.

Number

How do you find them if you are on the road?I dont want to search thru the whole member names to find the number. That is why I posted that it would be nice if the numbers were in order instead or to make it really fast just type the numbers into the search box and it would pull up the members profile and they could see who drove by them or if they were at a rest stop,WBCCI rally or in the neiborhood.I think that would be a fun feature to play with and just think how easy that would be.
Unless it already does this and I dont know how to use this feature.

Cool

That turned out really good.I like that.I pretty much did mine like moosetags was.I like that it sits just small and out of the way but big enough to see across the road.

The numbers in the photo are blue vinyl adhesive material that are die cut with a computer controled machine. It took less than ten minutes to apply both the front and back.

Devoman, I put the numbers on a square sheet of Klingon as one sign. I don't cut out separrate letters, just attached the ones you did for me. I picked my material up at a local shop. Here is a link to a supplier.
