that's a wonderful idea...
AndyR is really reactive to make that work,
About where the number "have" to be... to me, what I like with WBCCI #, is that I am abble to see them.
With the AIR#, it's even more important because with them we can communicate.
And if one day I see one of you guys, and you see me, and we wave eachother. would be nice to share some words about... will see.

I like the plexiglass/suction cup idea! I've been holding onto my AIR stickers for this exact reason....
I've edited my signature to include my AIR number.... but PLEASE....PLEASE... NO Official hat....PLEASE!

Don’t be surprised if you see ball caps with Air numbers on them at a rally. All hams know to wear a hat with their call sign on the front to Hamfests. I talk to you on the radio and I think you are little short skinny person, when I see your call sign on your hat or badge I see you are a heavy tall person it is always a surprise when you match up the person and the voice. I think an unofficial ball cap is ok with me and it keeps the bald spot covered.
Perhaps I should have said, "No BERETS...PLEASE!" Just trying to keep up with my non-conformist ways.... no rules, no secret handshakes....NO MEETINGS!!

ANDY R, May I make a suggestion on the size and placement of the AIR# information so we might all be uniform and easily identified as Forums members.
At this point the bulk of the decals are out and on most units. I know my decals are on my tow vehicle and trailer. Low on the window glass. To add numbers I'll probably add them to the right of the decal. In hindsight I would have gone under the decal but at this point I doubt most folks, including myself will want to pull what they have already mounted.
On the trailer I have 3 decals. One on the fixed glass low window to the right of the door (if you look at the decal in the contribution page that's my trailer), the other is dead center low on the back window, and the other is on the front most street side window. On the slide outs the window is on the slide unit. Non slides have another window further front. So if your coming from the rear you see it or if you are on either side you see it.

I have been wanting to make a lot of our info available in a stripped down web interface for boon dockers and this is another feature that is perfect for a WAP browser.
I have some other ideas that are going to blow you all away. Just think Google Earth API with our info (Courtesy parking, camping sites and reviews, parts/supply stores, and all of our photos laid on top). I can't wait to work on cool new tools for us.
Andy R,
Sounds great!! One thing that might be added are Airstream service shops.
No you did not. Thanks for being aware on this. I once posted a cute photo of a member's dog in their vintage Airstream window -- only to realize after that the member's home & cell phone numbers were in the window. A quick PM to a moderator and a new pic was posted with the phone numbers fuzzed out. So just like Hair Club for Men, "I'm not only a moderator, I need this product."
Now to unhijack and get back to the cool ASForums numbers thread!
Strangely enough, I have been here a very long time, and yet Marie (sd90mac) that lives in the same house, and joined after I did, has a much lower number.

But wouldn't your member number get reassigned when you changed names a while back?
