Finally getting my Sovereign home

So three Saturdays ago I have at long last gotten my 1974 31' Sovereign home to NYC.

Below see me leaving Flushing

Due to the fact that the owner was in FL for the winter and did not return until the end of May the pick-up date was delayed. Setting up the pick up date that would be compatible with me, my tow vehicle driver and the owner took some time.

Below Stop- over at my driver's upstate NY property.

Congratulations on getting it home. That's a nice looking rig. I know you're happy it's finally in your hands.

Where in New York is your property located? It looks great and reminds me of when my dad lived in Gilboa, NY.

I must say that I am enjoying it thoroughly. Although I have not as yet started and the repair work or renovation as I have been a little too busy with my work. There really isn't that many items that need to be addressed immediately anyhow. Nearly everything works in this unit. I was able to spend a couple of nights in it and found out some very interesting information. It is more comfortable than I could have ever imagined. Very sound proof. This AS did not come with a gaucho; in fact the entire front built-ins have been removed. I happen to have any futon couch that I was not using so I have added it to the front with a gaucho would be. I did find out that my cats had used the actual futon mattress as a toilet much to my dismay, totally un-usable. So that put me in the market for a replacement futon mattress. I put the word out to a few of my friends and lo and behold one of them came up with a nearly new very high in futon mattress.

My attempt at making it homey.

So now I have a question for you I see that in front on either side were the gaucho couch would be hard to 5" car speakers for a stereo system. As I am very music oriented and needed everywhere I happen to be I would like to try to utilize the speakers in conjunction with my iPod. I've been trying to find where these speakers terminate in two the old stereo location. Is there a standard location where these would hook up to?

Sorry for all the separate posts but this site will not let me include all of these pictures in one post. Either that or I just can't quite figure out why it's not allowing me to do so.

My driver's property upstate New York is near Kingston, New York. It's actually just across the road from New York City's reservoir. Which in fact is part of New York City and is patrolled by New York City police. This became a nightmare for the locals right after 9/11 as they were stopping anyone that looks suspicious for any infraction. It is the Shokan reservoir. His property is really a beautiful setting I may park my AS up there after I do some work on it.

Ah SO!!! You So preceptive.

I am now trying to learn how to read Korean so I know where I am in my own neighborhood.

So as I am trying to post this a bird flies up to my window and start to sing a beautiful song. She looked looks kind of like a cardinal but not too sure anybody recognized this one?

That's a nice looking trailer. Very similar to mine. The original stereo location is the street side of the goucho. My trailer has four of those speakers. Two in the front, two in the back. I am with you on the ipod and I am going to upgrade those old 30+ speakers and wire in a T-amp to the 12 volt.

btw

My first car was 1965 SAAB 96 Monte Carlo 850cc

Thumbs up Another Sovereign owner...

Congrats and salutations...

Wish ours had been in that great of shape. Ours too was missing the front gaucho. We are being creative too using chairs instead of a couch. Hope to post pictures soon.

Enjoy the journey.
