Excella vs. Classic Limited

We owned a '94 FK 30' Excella 1000 until early June, and we are looking for another unit to take her place. Would someone please tell us what the differences are between the Excella Classic and the Classic Limiteds? If there is a link, be happy to keep searching. Thanks, in advance.

hi lucy

the answer largely depends on WHAT YEAR for the newer trailer...

until 2006 a 'classic' from the prior 10 years...

would have been VERY SIMILAR to the excella 1000 or the excella classic ...

in terms of TRIM/featuers/options and styling.
_______

the "limited upgrade" available till 2006 was hickory (not oak), electric stab/jacks, larger lp tanks, burgundy (not blue) awnings...

and a few other trim/feature tweaks on the exterior AND interior.

that package also added ~7,000$ to the msrp over the base classic.
________

after 2006, ALL classics carry the limited tag and are hickory...

but NOT ALL of the limited package upgrades (from past years) made it to these units...

and they returned to BLUE for awnings, rather than the burgundy.
_________

so when SHOPPING newer classics (2001 onward) the limited TERM means different features depending on the YEAR of production...

cheers
2air'

Thank you, 2airishuman, so much for the clarification! Is there a reference book I could buy which would have the information at hand?

One other thing I noticed when looking at Classics is that depending on model year the water and waste tanks are different sizes. Some have a 39 gallon fresh water tank and others have a 54 gallon. When I travel I often don't have fresh water at the camp site, so the bigger tank was an important point for me.

Every so often I come up with a good point. I surprise myself sometimes. Glad to be of help. A few months ago, I went thru the same thing as you, when I sold my old A/S and was looking for a larger one.
Good luck and have fun looking!

We have a 1993 25' Classic Excella, considering selling. Do you have suggestion as to best way to sell. Also, considering a newer, larger Classic

Thanks,
Curt

So, have you found a replacement yet? Seems there are many trailer owners who are not exactly forthcoming with information about their units; almost as though they really don't want to sell or they are asking a gazillion dollars for it!

We'll keep searching; that's how we found our first one. =)
