Elk mountain interior?

Well, I was under the impression that the Elk Mountain interior was just in it's early stages of development. This eBay link makes it look like it is now an option.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2444284428

....and you know, it doesn't really look that bad after all....

Angry simple things in life

Man, 25k for a trailer and it does not even come with a 250 dollar electric jack
Sometimes I wonder where Airstreams marketing people are at.
Little things like that should always be standard equipment.
Kinda like power windows.....When is the last time you seen a new vehicle that did not have power windows?

I agree. I think I actually like it. It's definately much better looking than most. IMHO. Some are really bad.

As I wrote in another thread a while back, I wrote Airstream about 3 to 5 months ago and asked about the Elk Mountain Decor package.

I was told that the package had not been doing well and the package was dicontinued. I will tell you that although I was told the package was discontinued, I kind of got the feeling that if you asked them to make you one still today, they would be happy to oblige.

That's the cheapest looking AS I have ever seen.
DIY curtains , DIY everything IMHO.

I kind of like the curtains, actually, they look like they'd slide around easier than the ones in my AS that are on a track. Very comfortable looking floorplan too. I like all that.

That color though - ick! Someone down the line will be recovering that green sofa and wondering what the original owners were thinking when they bought that! Reminds me of a story I heard that at the end of the '67 model year all the Ford dealers were stuck with leftover ivy-colored Mustangs, and they came to be known as 'no-sellum-green'.

Spare tire Bracket?????????????

How convenient, you will have somewhere to put your aftermarket spare tire. These folks have thought of everything.......NOT!

How about a spare tire?

I'm a little disappointed........

in how cosmetic the enterior appears. It doesn't have the warmth and charm of earlier models, to include my own. It sure has a beautiful exterior however. I, too, noticed the electronic jack was not standard.

Ken,

Not sure if you were referring to the eBay listing or Airstream....

Currently the spare tire frame is standard, but to get a tire is an "upgrade" as far as I know on most if not the Airstream trailer lineup.
