Don't be scared of the refurbished units. I have one and it looked just like a new one with the same warrantee. When there was a recall I sent mine in and they fixed it and even extended the warrantee.

I would recommend getting the refurbished units over the new ones considering the savings.

We bought two refurbished Dyson heaters and they were packaged, looked and worked equal to a new one we had bought earlier. We use them at home as well as our Airstream.

Refurbished AM04s were recently on WOOT for 149.00.

Does anyone have experience with both the AM04 and AM05 heaters/fans? I'm wondering if improvements in the the AM05 model are worth the additional dollars ...

We have both, I don't see any difference in performance during everyday use. But then I don't even know what the improvements are because either works very well.
