Anyone have suggestions?

Sure

Your tow vehicle insurance takes care of liability.

There are all kinds of companies that specialize in roadside insurance for RVs.

Thor gives a free year with all new A/S with Coach Net. Camping World and Good Sam both offer similar plans. They pretty much all will get both tow vehicle and trailer to the nearest service facility in case of breakdown. I used the coverage twice some years ago and was very satisfied.

One place to look is the advertisements in Trailer Life.

Will look into that...have Farmers but even the Plus doesn't seem to do much for the tt. My fear is being out in the middle-of-nowhere and having to leave the tt alone.

Phone

Kistler

I carry a dual-band cell phone for just that purpose. Before I bought the phone, I had to leave my old trailer when I lost a wheel bearing while travelling alone.

Question Very Carefully I hope!

Whats the cost of AAA RV plus?

Also when they tow the two, how exactly do the do that?
Lets assume a 31 foot trailer behind a 18 ft long truck.

When we broke down on an overpass in Amarillo, we called Good Sam Road Service. The tow truck hooked up the Burb and towed the whole rig! Didn't think it would work, but proved us wrong!

Flat beds

Thy put my old Scamp 5th-wheel on a flatbed, also, near Petoski, Michigan. They had a big worry as to whether it would clear a structure on the way into town. It did.

I certainly couldn't fault the road service I received.
