I originally started out as rgodfrey, which showed no imagination at all. I started trying to think of a better name (still no imagination) and Pat came up with SilverCabin. She always wanted a log cabin in the woods somewhere, but now we have a silver one on wheels that follows us around. Somehow that seems better.

My forum name, "BeBop", is based off of the Japanese Anime Series, "Cowboy BeBop".
The series characters (one older & one younger male, and one older and one younger female) seem to echo our family structure and dynamics.
Oh, by the way, our pilothouse sloop sailboat is also named "BeBop" for the same reason.
Go figure...

Although I produce various media, my main business is producing audio for video and doing that, I'm usually in the "audiobox."
Hmmmm. Makes me wonder if "FinalCutJoe" is a video editor.

Robert-sun-r-us
Hi, Robert is my proper name, but I go by Bob. Sun is my wife's proper name, but she goes by her middle name Lee. And I always said: "I'm a Toys- R- Us kid." That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I live in Centennial Colorado and wanted my name to be "Centennialman" on this site. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough space and I ended up becoming "Centennialma".....close enough.

Mine is a result of commuting to college and work almost every day for 30+ years on a motorcycle. However, my wife says she is not MS. Motoman or Motomaid and prefers just Gail.

I'm N2XBW because that is my Ham Radio call sign, and thus is 100% unique.
There may be 1000's in the world with my exact same name, but by law and treaty, only ONE N2XBW!
My avatar is R2D2 because we're both into electronics, cute, and round in the middle. [my wife would debate the cute part]
The snow is almost gone in Far-Northern NY and the Excella is nearly ready to roll!

I've been in Boy Scouts for over 50 years. Friendly Quiet Waters is my Boy Scout Indian name that I was given in 1959. I just shortened it to QuietWaters which is what I was called on the CB radio when we went on campouts. It kind of goes with my personality. Not exciting, but it works for me.

Mine is a take off from my Iowa Hawkeye days and my passion for Harleys. Thus HOG-I. It is also the license plate on my Harley.

Condominium + Aluminum
Name was chosen by our son after family rejected my California multi-cultural proposal of "Casa de Beercan".. Our Airstream followed and replaced a very flimsy Nomad Weekender owned 15 years, which was named Casa de Cardboard to keep children from swinging on doors and breaking various internal parts off... Dad worked for Alcoa Aluminum Co for 44 years, so we could all spell aluminum, explain the Hall process for making aluminum from bauxite and cryolite, and pronounce it correctly. He met Wally while working in LA after WW II, always complained Wally more finicky about sheet surface quality than Douglas or Boeing... In our house, "tin foil" could get your mouth washed out with soap... Name seems a little challenging for some to pronounce, but is a wonderful description of the concept.. "Condo" works well at Rallies..

Gotta LOVE it!!!
Hello all -
STILL LOVING this thread!
Too interesting, all the stories that folks have, the things that went into their names (or not), and all the connections that bring items from the past to the for. Fascinating.
One of the "Best Threads" on the forum, IMO.
Keep 'em coming....
Is there a way to 'ping' anyone that hasn't yet offered an answer - perhaps a 'you subscribed' ping, another way? This is just such a neat 'window' on users here, that I would love to see everyone's response....
I'll keep readin'.... if'n you keep 'em comin'.....
Axel

My name came from my love of lambs and Airstreams and I'm not a spring chicken anymore so EweMama was born! I found the SilverLamb avatar somewhere so it fits well.
It is an interesting thread!
