A GREAT thread means....

that I read EVERYTHING that EVERYONE posted - from the beginning!!!!

AWESOME THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SilverToy comes from....

Picked up the 'new to me' AS in SLC, Utah. First time towing anything that big! Certainly the 1st tow of any TT since starting the family. As we are homeward bound (to ABQ) from SLC, my youngest keeps turning and craning his little neck over his car seat to check ....???

"That are you doing Max?"

"I'm checking that 'SilverToy' is still behind us....!" Our Silver Toy....

LOVE the name! Even better that a 3 1/2 y/o gave it. Kinda stuck like superglue.

Been "that" since the git go here - use it elsewhere too, but it leaves most folks scratching their heads. Suits me. Let 'em wonder.

After a trip is ST in 06/07 where we went to Silver City in NM over New Years.... I took a terrific sunset photo (purples, yellows, and white's interspersed) with SilverToy in the frame edge - last day in 06. I now use that photo and the SilverToy moniker on ALL business cards.

Combines all the best things in my life - family, a GREAT trip, SilverToy, memories, ..... to be continued

Axel

Relentless was the call sign of the destroyer I was on in 1959-1962. The USS Meredith (dd890).

Hwjoe name

I am a fan, owner and rider of hiwheel bicycles (Ordinaries or Pennyfarthings) and named Joe. I think I will soon change to the whole Hiwheeljoe name.

sticky handle

my son and I played a lot of strategy games on the Internet - World of Warcraft. The kids always had some ominous name meant to threaten the opponents. Flitzwhopper was an silly nonsense name that I came up to make fun of the opponents. It stuck.

As a furniture/cabinetmaker I have always been fascinated by the craftsman of the Middle ages who built the cathedrals and castles of Europe. Some worked on the same project their whole life. A lot of the furniture was amazing in detail and construction. All built with hand tools that haven't changed all that much. There are fewer "craftsman" being trained every year as apprenticeship programs and school shops are eliminated and hand labor goes off shore. There are still people why appreciate craftmanship and are willing to pay for it. There are more who respond like; What! I can buy it at IKEA for.........

We always bring our espresso machine when we are camping. Because life without espresso is not worth living! When it is too hot outside Cold Espresso is the answer. If you see us, stop by for a cup. Hot or cold...
