Purman, I thought we decided you were a barn cat, so shouldn't is be "purrcat"?

Gringo, the weather is cooling off on the western slope, but has stayed hot on the Front Range lately. You may be in Colorado by now anyway. I used of the name "Americans" to mean US residents. I know Latin Americans have criticized US residents because everyone on the American continents is an "American", but I prefer to avoid terms like "Unitedstateans" or "USAns". Snow in the mountains will be coming soon. It was in the upper 30's in the morning on Grand Mesa last week.

Colbertjs, I doubt the Mexicans spoke enough English to come up with "green, go" and may have preferred "verdes", that is, "greens". I doubt we will ever know the true origin of the name.

Had explained my screen name awhile back, but at recent trip to play in 40th anniversary alumni game at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, had Olga take one final pre-gsmer photo before I finally hung up my studs at 60. Had one final assist on a goal by a "kid" 30 years younger, so a good time to say adios to "the beautiful game"

Mine is simply in memory of our best family dog that grew up and old with our kids. He lived to be 14, was a mutt from the humane society that let our kids ride him, pull his tail, lay on him and when he had enough, just walked away. Never a growl or bark (except for the mailman) and loved to go to the drive through at Hardees for a burger. His name was Astro and we called him Astro the Wonder Dog.

I just changed my user name from my ham radio call sign to Ag&Au.
It has a double meaning. It is of course the chemical symbols for silver and gold. All air traffic controllers have operating initials that are used to sign off interphone communications. Mine were AG. My wife susan is still working as a controller and her intials are AU.

I was a Piston Engine Mech back in my Naval Air days, and was tagged with the nickname 'XRay' by my buddies when I diagnosed a few problems successfully...

Later as I traveled to Mexico often, I got tagged as 'MexRay' by friends...

As the internet came into usage, I found that 'Mexray' wasn't used anywhere, so it was a handy Forum Name to keep around...

Since we no longer visit Mexico, maybe my AKA here could be 'AirRay'...don't want to lose all my 'posts', though...

Ray

Homer Simpson wanted to move up the social ladder. Homer and Marge joined a country club. Homer saw max power on a hair dryer and then changed his name. It works out well for power sports forums.

Mine's my call sign from when I was in the AF. Yes I also play golf, and yes, my woods and irons are Taylormade.

I also do woodworking as a hobby so my furniture is "taylormade".

Mine was simple. When my husband and I were looking at our trailer to buy it, I was sitting in her sunny, Vista View lit, yellow living room area and she told me her name! The decision was made for us!
The seventy-five is her birth year.

"50kip"

I tell people that "50KIP" is a devalued "50 Cent" There are about 8000 Laotion Kip to $1. But actually, my Airstream is named after an airplane whose callsign was "50KIP", from its tail number N650K (see avatar). It flew daily courier runs around SE Asia back in the day. My Airstream with its shiny aluminum curvy shape and rivets resembles a vintage airplane.
