Cool T-shirts!
Soldiermedic and Combatmedic brought us these T-shirts and they are just TOO COOL not to share with everyone...and they are just too cool to wear, so we put them up in our showroom for all to enjoy!
The art work was done by Steve's brother! Great job!
THANKS Steve and Amy!

The ceremonial Giving of the Shirts was fabulous, especially since Gene was expecting Missou underwear!
Here's a pic of Mike and Gene with their new shirts. That is the Medics' gorgeous trailer in the background.

Saw ’em this afternoon. Frio frijoles (cool beans).
They really are to cool to wear. The “watermarked” smoker Steve brought Gene is difficult enough to describe that I think I’ll let Steve take that one on. The smoked “armadillo eggs” were fantastic.

Watermarked Smoker....
After seven and a half hours of driving with the AS in tow back home I will just refer to Gene on this one.
The Armadilla Eggs were great huh!

Great time at Airstream of Arkansas!
I'll take on the topic of the smoker--I got pictures! Steve had posted to the forums earlier about the ceramic smoker he had made and was using to make the most incredible smoked meats. In thanks for the great help Airstream of Arkansas had given them with their new Ambassador, Steve and Amy gave them a smoker (along with the T-shirts).
Here is the infamous pot smoker and Steve explaining it to the AoA gang:
This one was very special--Steve's brother had painted it with Arkansas designs and then they scrubbed the paint off the pot. Since the pottery is porous, it "watermarked" the pot where the paint was, and showed the design when wet.
Hard to see in the bright sunlight, but if you look at the top left of the rim, you can see the "RA" from the word "RAZORBACKS" and there is a pic of the Razorback hog on the bottom part of the pot:
Little did we know Gene came from an agricultural background (he's moving the beautiful Medic trailer to the dump station)...
I had gone for a SealTech test, which was AWESOME!! Hopefully Gene will post some pics of my bubbling moho here. They found almost all of my window frames were leaking where they attached to the body, and several other places besides (including where a line of rivets were gone on the rear roof, possibly from an earlier panel replacement). Billy and Mike crawled all over my moho and sealed EVERY seam!! I was very impressed with how knowedgeable and skilled these guys were.
I also remain VERY impressed with Airstream of Arkansas overall, as well. Mike and Gene are top-notch guys who work very hard to help the customer and bend over backwards to do a good job and make a quality deal. I spent over 24 hours there, and saw several customer interactions that just reinforced that fact. My transaction was nothing compared to the business they do there on a daily basis, yet I was treated like royalty. They have a large selection of Airstream trailers there and an experienced service department and can take care of your every Airstream need.
One last note--I took our new dog Nilla with us, and she did great! Everyone liked her and she was calm and sweet. I had to laugh--after the long day of driving up there, running around an unfamiliar place, staying in her crate in the AoA showroom, and loads of new stimuli, I fed her that night and she didn't even bother to get up to eat! Cool character.

Glad you made it home, hopefully with no more complications.
For those who are wondering since everyone knows that Armadillos don’t lay eggs, they are born dead on the side of the road! Armadillo Eggs are sausage meatballs (made with ½ spicy and ½ mild in deference to Susan) wrapped around a cube of cheese and a slice of pickled jalapeno. Then they were slowly smoked till they were golden brown and delicious. Ok, they were dark brown, but in this case, even better! Alton Brown would be proud.

It was odd enough with the grooming session Amy needed while making the Armadillo Eggs. Hope I need assistance in Branson from ya Suz!

We are trying a "workaround" so he can. As long as things don't go South in the areas where they are posted, he can (and will).

The Airstream part is cool alright, but that Arkansas pig thing is a real turn-off.
