connecting the 2 tv's to a satellite dish

Hi there, just bought a friends 2017-26 FC- he's crazy- wants a bigger one already, but my good fortune. I'm new but learning fast. Have a question about connecting the 2 tv's to the wally satellite dish. The unit in the LR works fine on OTA and the Dish. But the BR unit only works with the OTA antenna and the DVR, which also doesn"t show up on the LR tv. Obviously, there is a spliteer missing somewhere. In the overhead compartment where all the electronic wires come in there is a splitter of some sort that has to be plugged in to juice but it seems ony for the dvd to the BR. Anyone know how to fix this? Where do the sat cable wires end up? Thanks
