My Sirius presets are 3 jazz feeds and 1 Radio Margarittaville.
So when camp is set up it has to be...
"5 O'clock Somewhere," J. Buffett "License to Chill"

Right now for me it's Billy Joel and for Carla it's Gnarls Barkley. We love jazz also, the old stuff. Rock is always good. I love Pearl Jam. Wierd, Huh?

Silence. I like silence. I make my living as a musician and camping is a good oppertunity to rest my ears and what little brain I have left

One of the interesting things about writing new music is that it almost always conceived in silence. You can't think up a new tune with an old one running through your head ... so here's my rant:

I hate listening to other my neighbors canned music at a campground. This happens all the time - most especially at state parks. What is lovely and relaxing to them, is often noise pollution to me. Rant over...

Smile Good campground etiquette is music to my ears!

Oh Janet I couldn't agree more about when music is blasting away in a campground, even if I like the music, its a bummer to listen to it that way. One day we were walking the dog past a monster sob moho the guy had a disco ball, the curtains were up so we saw it, and "friends in low places was blaring," from inside and on outdoor speakers... fortunately we camped were far away from that site but I felt sorry for his neighbors...

I'll bet there is some awesome campfire music going on when the musicians gather at rallies...

Is the bluegrass music fest in Cave City, Ky fun anyone?

Btw Janet, when are we going to be able to add your music to our nice nonobtrusive ipods?...

Campground neighbors should be seen, not heard.

I listen to my music fairly LOUD, but play CDs in a walkman.

You do have to be cautious and not break out with a Air Guitar performance....

on the other hand it does keep the neighbors away.

Music music music

We love music (we own a musical instrument store) when we camp we like to listen quietly to some Buffett, Baby James, Eagles, and my favorite Dave Mathews.

One of the best! Christopher Walken is scary looking but funny as heck on SNL! Loved everything he did.
