Camping spots

We are planning a Northerly trip in June-July to PA> and then onward to New York and maybe New england. Anyone have experience with nice camping spots in those areas? I am especially interested in NY accessible to the city ( by train hopefully) like maybe Westchester County- or somewhere like that.
Also we will be in Massachusets near the cape hopefully.

found what I was looking for...will stay at Taconic park above NY on the taconic parkway, then take the train into Manhattan, from Westchester..
This after 1 night in NC. one in VA., 4 in PA., and who knows where after that?
Depends on how the AS runs.....

If you make it as far as the Cape...Peter's Pond in Sandwich is one of the best parks on the Cape. Lots of room with wooded settings,etc.etc.

Thanks for that info. We are going to Lake Myers RV Resort in NC, then to Shenandoah Valley KOA in VA next, then to Hershey Highmeadows in PA, then to NY, and then we will see how we are feeling about going further. If not the cape we might opt to go back the southern route - coastal, through VA Beach, and NC Outerbanks.
Should be a fun trip..

Toconic Parkway

I know trailers are not allowed on the Toconic and assume MH's are not as well. You might want to check your route to that CG in Westchester. Beautiful country, though.

Thanks for the reminder, I am originally from up there, and once accidently drove a truck onto a Parkway!! Big trouble if I hadn't realized and gotten off soon.
