Cabin fever
Clear blue sky, warm....then I heard this song:
http://www.silvertwinkie.org/airstream.mp3
http://www.silvertwinkie.org/airstream_acoustic.mp3
...and cabin fever set in.....must resist temptation to de-winterize Airstream...must fight..must not de-winterize yet....
Link 1 is the rock and roll version while link 2 is for those who enjoy more acoustic only versions.....
Enjoy!
PS- neither is a good link if you are using dial-up.

I've been so desperate, that I fired up my generator and have been doing hits from the exhaust...now I see Airstreams everywhere....Oh wow, man!!!
Kids, don't try this at home.
Creosote, anyone???
Nothing bombastic left to say here.
Love and kisses from the now emerging from hibernation...
Crazylev (aka Jonathan), I think....

Just came back in the house--Mrs. and I couldn't stand it so we went out to the trailer and played cards this afternoon. The smell of a new interior is all I need to get excited----Pieman

Well, if it was anything similar to when we got ours, we spent New Year's in it, and camped in the driveway a few times.

Good song Twink! 68 degrees here in STL today. Went out to the lot and pulled the batteries to put them on the charger in the garage.
Fixed the tarp on the boat parked next to me so the tarp doesn't rub on the Airstream. Walked around and all looks okay.
Noticed an older unit parked about 10 spaces from me. Looks like the owner has picked up a leak over the winter. Entire front back to the door is now covered and taped with plastic.
Waiting for my response from Moraine View. First trip is 4 weeks away up in Springfield Il. Forecast is for thunderstorms tomorow morning, possiblity of small hail they are saying.....ah yes signs of spring!
Jack

Hey Twink, that's a cool song. But then again, I grew up in the '60's! It's just "my speed" as we used to say. O.K., I'll shut up now. Jim

Nice tunes.,.... The best thing about being full time, is I don't get cabin fever... I just go outside, look back and see my beautiful Airstream.... Looking every bit the pristine model it was the first day I saw it....
Theo, from within the Excella 1000, at my work camper position...

Hey, Yeah I've the fever pretty bad right now too. Course, I have some work to do...
Need to replace the stove vent fan motor.
Need to get one of those Thetford sized sewer valves, so I can stop using an adapter...
Get some Fan-tastic fans
Rehook up the water tank's level hose.
Can't wait!
John

Sunshine, at last
After weeks and weeks of rain, from steady drizzle to some strong thunderstorms, the sun is finally out and it is in the upper 70s. I actually worked up a sweat walking back up the steep 1/4-mile hill from the mailboxes.
It rained all through the computer rally last week and I wa parked in uncut grass; it has been too wet to cut this spring. I spent the whole week with wet feet.
We have a weekend unit rally (Thurs-Mon) coming up. The forecast is partly cloudy each day with highs in the low 70s; about par for March in Austin. Part of the rally is a tour inside Mansfield Dam, I understand that it is the first tour since 9/11. One of our unit knows the dam manager and set it up for us.
I have Texas Mountain Laurel blooming around the house and there are pear trees and Carolina Jessamine blooming along the local roads. I have had iris blooming all winter on the west side of the house.
