Boot Camp Cleaning!

Hope to hit the road soon; I like the FaN looking its best. Today I am scrutinizing the nooks and crannies. There is dirty and crud hiding everywhere!

The window ledges are the first to be cleaned. Lots of dirt and dead flies, but ouch! Those naked screws sticking out are hard on the fingers!

Once I got into it, I was surprised how much black-green crud was hiding under the rubber seals. (The curse of the westcoast - green crud from all the rain). A Q-tip worked well here......

Next, the window screens. I thought I would just spray with Fantastik, then gently wipe down.

Does anyone else have a better window-screen cleaning idea?

I wish I had a better idea, but we clean them much the same way, sans those screws, thankfully. We use a soft long bristled brush on the screens, and in the window channels before we wipe them down with a wet cloth. It's amazing how much crud collects there. It's mostly black stuff over here on the Mid-Atlantic coast.

The FaN is looking good.
