Blue Boy
My wife and I are interested in purchasing a Barker 42 gallon 4-WheelerTote Along. Although it is highly rated, the only issue I see is that the connection from the AS holding tanks are about the same level as the waste water input. Is that a show stopper for us?

The sewer hose will probably fill with black water but will siphon into the blue boy. When you are ready to dump just lift the hose to drain the residual. Use a short sewer hose. Another issue is the weight, about 300 pounds full.

It makes it less than fun, but you can work around it.

I was just curious if you ended up buying the 42 gallon blue boy? We are thinking of the same and wondered if you were happy with it?

I have a very old two wheeler 22 gallon blue boy. The 4 wheeler models make 40 gallons doable. But both have height issues with AS low drain points. Some sites are fine, some are very difficult.

Keep in mind that a full 42 gallon blue boy will weigh about 300 pounds.

Right, but the 4 wheelers alleviate that issue quite a bit. I certainly wouldn't want more than my 22 gallon 2 wheeler.

I need one of these, how do you get around the height issue. Thanks. Have you had issues with pneumatic tires?

My, very old, 22 gal 2 wheeler has solid tires. So, using an extra long hose can usually get me to an elevation that works. Sometimes ya just gotta fill the hose and work it like a slinky to work a half gallon to a gallon at a time. This is gray water exclusively, we can go the better part of 2 week on black and i cannot ever remember hauling black water since getting the AS with a 39 gallon tank.
A 90* elbow, helps a lot, if your fill port on the blue boy is on top.

A long slinky with the blue boy downhill from the AS helps. You can also raise your stabilizers and lower the AS on the jack to give more elevation to the drains. You won't be able to empty the tanks but you will get quite a bit out. It pretty much fills our 15-gallon Tote-N-Stor 25607.

Good luck dealing with this one!!
