belize and bike rack

I want to drive from Baltimore to Belize in our 27' AS which we have only used once for a week in the 3 years we have owned it. It's a 1971 and I have no idea how to connect a bike rack. My wife is terrified of travel thru Mexico. Any info. or brain washing techniques would be appreciated

You can search for the bike rack threads. Bottom line, keep them inside the AS or TV. Belize in a 27' might be interesting with the narrow, poor roads I saw there.

you can google 'tioga and george'. i have followed his travels the last three years in mexico and the us west coast. his most recent post are of yacatan pennisla and was very near belize border. good luck, jeff

Totally agree on putting your bikes inside. Theft one good reason, don't want the weight on the AS bumper and believe it or not, a bike rack on the front really does effect your MPG!
