Been a year since last “trip”

Just dumping by some photos in here celebrating our family AS vacation from last week at gulf state park, AL

It had been 13 months since our last family vacation as such - the AS has gotten so little use for a variety of reasons but we are still very happy and the kids had a wonderful week as did we parents.

We ran into two airforums members (handle Basscan) - that was cool! And I’ll be posting specifically about how we ran into them!

We already booked a water spot for a full week for June 2019 there again, we moved spots 3 times this past week - pretty annoying but was fine.

We celebrated Father’s Day Saturday - which consisted of kids helping mom make me Cinnabon biscuit thingies in the AM - then once they day started they were sweet all day but being ages 5 and 7 I was my usual slave dad haha - it was great.

My son is now 7 and he is intense now y’all - I cannot emphasize enough how much my brain hurts from hearing him talk about crabs - how to catch them, clean them, cook them - y’all YouTube makes kids way smarter lol

Anyway - enough ramblings - photos!

Hope you all are doing well...I upped my membership and plan to get a bit more
Active again...tried the fb AS group thing - I have various disappointments there - topic for another thread - I like airforums best so far!

And this is why you have an AS, and deal with the hassles that sometimes entails!

And build great memories in your head and your kids' heads. Well worth it!

Totally understand a lack of tons of time to head out with the AS...but the kids will remember those days fondly...go whenever you can get away!

My son is now able to do various camp chores - it’s precious - and actually helpful (imagine that!)

We are having a blast!

Glad to see you are making memories with your family.

I see that your Airstream is pointing north. That Is always my preference when selecting a site in warm weather.

Surprised that your awning isn’t out.

Agreed ....that is why we all love our Airstreams. These are the memories that will last a lifetime not the little or even big inconveniences we sometimes have to deal with.
