I am thinking I like the dinette almost the way it is and the ability to raise and lower the table and rotate useful. I want to make it a little stronger I think.
I haven't taken possession of my 2019 Sport 22FB yet but playing with it a little bit it had more play than I'd like.
Is there a rock solid alternative I could mount little heavier top to?
We built a U shaped dinette in the son's 1969 Globetrotter 21'. The pedestal was a key component. I don't know what is in your sport. The pedestal we used seemed pretty solid. It has two telescoping cylinders. It was originally designed as a fishing boat seat support for height adjustment. We find marine hardware much more robust than standard RV hardware. We purchased it through Walmart on line. Cost was about $300. Here is a photo:

The pillar is quite stout. Where you are getting 'play' in your Sport 22 table, is the mechanism that allows it to slide in and out. Can't imagine there is really any way to fix that without losing that functionality. (Same table in the 23FB that I sold earlier this year). Once you have your trailer, you will find it's no big deal. There are many other mods that will make more of a difference. Follow the 23d thread. We will help you improve things and spend money on stuff you never though you needed :-)
