Bay Area Airstream Dealer (San Francisco Bay Area)

I noticed an ad for Bay Area Airstream while browsing the Air Forums this morning. Looks like they're prepping for a grand opening next month.

According to this page, the company was dissolved after over 34 years of business in Santa Rosa, Ca.

A google search gives it an address in Fairfield, California.

Anybody have any more info?

Ok, it's opening next month in Fairfield, California. They will be Airstream Adventures Northwest's newest dealership. I ordered some parts today from their Portland store today because my local dealer (Toscano) doesn't have anybody on hand who knows how to return a phone call or an email. I'm looking forward to their grand opening as it will be much closer to me and I hope they are as professional as the folks in Portland are.

There have been good reports on the service from their Boise Idaho location here on the web. I have a new 2014 20' FC on order from the Boise location, and feel I made a good deal with them. It won't be delivered until June though. Itchy for it, of course.

Yesterday I saw a new Dodge Ram dually heading south down 101.. it had www.airstreamNW.com all over the truck. I was curious too so I sent them a message and he told me they were going to open in Fairfield. Im excited to have a local source for parts...

I met with manager and sales manger last week. They seem like very nice folks. I offered to bring my Ambassador there for the grand opening, May 3-4, and do a book signing. They liked the idea. So I'll be there this week.

Stop by and say hello!

Nice job Tim...

I would like to partner with these guys in some way as well. Its just better for the brand if we all get behind it.

Vin

You know, Vinnie, it is across the street from the Jelly Belly factory.. It is also a mile or so from the humongous Budweiser Brewery.. Both do tours...

I am thinking a birthday party with jelly beans and beer... I think I read they were planning some sort of joint promotion with Jelly Belly (they have promo wrapped vehicles including airplanes, race cars, RV's etc. already..). No closer for folks in South Bay, but might provide competitive challenges for Los Banos dealership in both sales and pricing..

Yep, Toscano has not done much to insure my loyalty. Nice guys but pretty bad on communication.

That's too bad, they used to have a great reputation. Wonder if the biz changed hands?

Last night it was a "soft opening" today will be the big day. If last night was any indication, it will be busy. There were a lot of people going in and out of the Ambassador. It was hard to keep up with them. Many comments like, "It has more room than the new ones." Love the layout with the twin beds, and it has a bunk bed!". People really enjoyed it.

Meeting some nice vintage owners too. A 64 Globetrotter, and a couple of 70's Safari owners. Been pointing them to our direction here. Diagnosing Aluminitus is a full time job.

Back at it today starting at 9am.
