When in Hot Springs, AR, check out Rod's Pizza Cellar. The GodFather is a whole lot of eating and sure is good. Patty Ann takes good care of the customers and runs a tight ship.

Airborne6, I thought I recognized Bayfield, WI......

We picked up our Avion in Hancock, MI in 2013..... I remember seeing signs for Bayfield as we were heading there.

Noted Mark. The older I get, the more Summer I need. At least more than two months. Bayfield is a beautiful place though.

Yes, I noticed how beautiful the area was as we drove through.

I sure wouldn't like the winters, though.

I have been to 43 countries, been around the world 2 1/2 times, and nothing comes close to Arkansas. Perth Australia is second. There are many things that you could become part of here. Come on down and kick the tires. Need help around Hot Springs, PM me.

TG Twinkie. We enjoy heat. I built a custom sauna to swelter in and shed the cold and frigid Winters here on Lake Superior. I've lived in many hot humid areas of the world. Hopefully it wouldn't be an issue.

PaulnGina, So if you picked your Airstream up in Hancock Mi you have got to experience the north woods and Lake Superior. This is a beautiful area and the only real downside is Winter after its beauty has worn off. Which for me comes in January. I can always visit this area when I need a northwoods fix.

Switz I love good food so thank you for those recommendations. I must tell you though that I make some of the best homemade pizza in the country. Matter of fact I think Friday night pizza sounds good. BTW is that a 23 ft AS you have. Looks a lot like ours.

I grew up in Tulsa, OK which is about 2 hours west of Bentonville, AR. The summers in Oklahoma can be brutal. One thing I noticed after moving here in 2003 was that on any given summer day, the temperatures will be 5-10 degrees cooler than the Tulsa area. Has to do with the Ozark Plateau, from what I'm told. Whatever the cause, I LOVE it here in NW Arkansas. We still get some extremes here. Plenty of heat in the summer. Sometimes it is pretty dry in the summer. I think it was in February 2009, we had 2 feet of snow that fell in the course of 6 hours or so. This winter has been very mild, hardly any snow at all.

When we retrieved our Avion from Hancock, MI, it was during the third week of October 2013. We were really pressed for time, and one of the factors was: Hancock was expecting their first snow of their season the night that we'd be leaving the area, so we were VERY interested in heading south again ASAP. We drove through your area at sunrise, and I remember the beautiful colors of the countryside. It was an absolutely perfect cold, frosty morning, the air was still, and the sky was clear as a bell. The little we saw of the Hancock area showed me that I would LOVE to spend some time there and other parts of northern Michigan..... in the summertime!
