Question Are A/S energy efficient?

Since I've been fulltiming, I have never paid for my electric during the summer because it was either included in my rent or as a camphost.

I returned to FL the 1st of August and I've been avging $43 per month running the AC 24/7.

So yes, they are energy efficient and having awnings all the way around helps too!

During the winter months I avg around $24 per month for electric.

John, what are you paying per KWH. Up here in Ohio I am paying around 11 cents a KWH at the house and 16 cents at the farm market building across the street. My house rate should go down to winter rates soon. Have seen it go as low as 6 cents per KWH, depending on usage. (Use more, pay less per KWH). The local Flying J has raised their price up to 1.699 for propane.

I'm paying .08 per KWH and that's constant year round down here.

LP has gone up to $2.00 a gallon here in the park, but if I drive about 8 miles to the LP dealer, it's $1.70
