Anyone know what this is

Anyone know what this is?

Oregon DMV tells us that this trailer is a 1962 32' Airstream

We have just acquired this thirty-footer that has no ID that we can find other then that it says MARVEL MC-564-C on the tongue.

I have posted a number of interior and exterior pics @

http://groups.msn.com/VintageVacatio...k/shoebox.msnw

Titled "Anyone know what this is"

Keep in mind that this trailer has been sitting under a tree for a number of years and looks MUCH worse then it is. There is next to no damage on the outside that we can see. There is a little corrosion on the rockers by the wheels. One hinge has come loose from its rivets (easy fix). The interior is like the exterior. Much worse looking then it is! Lots of garbage and Yuk. All windows are intact and they’re no leaks. We did not see any sign of water damage just neglect and misuse.

We will post more pics as we wash and clean the trailer up.

We have too many projects and have decided to sell this trailer. We are currently restoring a 30' Boles-Aero Estrellita
We are located in Portland OR and our E-mail is sylvanheights@aol.com
Thanks For any and all of your input!

The only thing I know for certain is that it definately is NOT an Airstream! Otherwise, it could be just about anything. (yes, even the Titanic!) Maybe it actually IS a Marvel. Being a finishing carpenter by trade, I found the pic. of the countertop cutout around the water heater to be quite amusing. I guess you can never have too much counter space? Good luck in your trailer identity. I know someone here will have the answer very soon.

Ditto on the Spartan. There is a Spartan group on Yahoo, you might give them a try.

.....the countertop cutout around the water heater ....

Also, check out the water heater exhaust ducting...talk about eficient heating! No BTU loss to the outside at all!

I'm sure pdxor97225 is correct in his statement that what we're looking at is mostly cosmetic. Hope he finds someone interested to put it back on the road.

The only reason why I'm incline to think otherwise is:
The Spartan models all seem to have a "sq" door opening and, this one is rounded at the top..Plus, the doors on Spartan are straight upright and, this door has a curve in it as shown..
Otherwise, there's just not much to go on..

Maybe it's some kind of freakish, monsterous hybrid trailer! An Air Manor!! No wait... it's a backwoods, Frankensteinesque... Sparstream!!

Mua-hahaha!
