To me the most amazing thing is that he thinks he has something "better".

Well said! The floor plan is the same as my 75 Trade Wind. It just gave me an idea. If I toss out the frig, I have a place to store the dog food! Good thinking!

I also emailed him to break the news that his 5th wheel is not one of a kind -- Airstream manufactured 5th wheels for a short while.

Some of us could also check it out in person this weekend as it is on the way home from the Monadnock Rally.

Minnie Mate... hurry go tell your wife you have found the pefect airstream forget about that brand new 30' safari you're picking up this weekend.
This one is nearly famous I think it may have been Jed Clampett's.

gotta love those mapquest routes and directions...."lets just put a big circle right here, for no apparent reason, and see if anyone actually goes that way".

I'm taking the scenic route...avoid 101 like the plague.

If it weren't so UnGodly...

...expensive it wouldn't be difficult to convert it back to a standard pull behind. Dunno what he did with the frame underneath but I can't imagine he weakened it any. I can't imagine why he built it so heavy. Maybe if it doesn't sell someone could gut the interior and use it as a horse trailer. Classy rig for your thoroughbreds!

PS did you see how many hits he's had on it? God is bringing a lot of folks!

Good Grief

What a scam. The least he could have done was polish the poor thing.

I like this message located on the about me link in the listing:
Hey, I am selling it all and moving to Papua New Guinea to build a scuba diving lodge. If you are the one who buys the airstream, then you get to stay for free.
At 42 grand! You would be paying for the entire construction costs for this place! You should hangout for life
