Actually, it's Airhead as in Airstream head.

many of use here are in the same head. I was a road dog guitar player for years and I am equally obsessed with vintage electric guitars and amps. I am back and forth between looking at Airstream stuff on the web and looking for cool old guitars and those who play them.
These are reasonably healthy obsessions...there are loads out there that aren';t

I was hoping to hear there there is a vaccine or something out there. Now I know I search in vain. Kind of feels good though

I am twice as crazy as my husband about the AS. I can see this and that happening or maybe a little hutch over here, or a new dinette, or a really cool Ren theme...or....he tells me to quit thinking for awhile. He's doing the majority of the work and I am the assistant. He tells me to run and get this tool, those rivets, that ladder, etc. and I trot off. I did put new gasket on three windows before the winter set in though.

I have even taken to looking at the AS classified because I have more ideas than I have trailers. I would love to find a little Bambi close to ND to pick up. Maybe that can only be a dream at this point...doesn't cost to dream does it?
Sign me off as nuts about aluminum......

If you are abnomal at 3 I hate to think of my diagnosis. We bought #1 in September 2006, and have owned 7 since that day. Currently airstreamless , but looking at #8 prospectively.

Tell the wife you're switching to a vintage V-tail Bonanza (Beechcraft). With a custom-balanced MATTITUCK engine. And new HARTZELL prop. OREGON AERO interior. New KING avionics. She'll rotate anti-clockwise a week . . . .

You are going to be the king of AS!! Wow, that is a lot. I hope to get at least four....one for each of the kids. We will leave them all a little happier knowing they can continue our insanity long after we are gone.

Where do you find yours?

There's something about an Airstream that just draws you in. We have a 1975 Argosy, and it has been a wonderful addition to our family. It lets us spend quality time with our teenage son, and there's always a fun project for us to work on together. We managed to talk our good friends into buying an Airstream as well - so now we can work on projects with them, too! And they look so cool parked next to each other in the campground!

Obsessed? No - you've just come to your senses like the rest of us!

OREGON AERO - wow.

What a great company.

Sitting on one of their fantastic seat cushions, which I wouldn't leave home without, allows me to drive for hours without discomfort.

I remember sending the first one back after asking them to add a little more taper to the front edge, which they did not just willing, but to my total satisfaction.

I think because it's not just about camping, it's about Airstreaming. It invites a little bit of glamour into the experience of going all of these places. It's not like RV'ing. It certainly isn't like tent camping and you never say that you have a "camper". You can make your favorite pasta dinner and serve it up on nice plates, etc. Now, you can do that in a camper, but it ain't the same!
