Good choice, left coast,

Looks like we'll be getting a good dousing on the Texas coast but you can't beat the surf for boogie boarding on the eve of a hurricane!! What undertow?

What is that, it looks like my Overlander but longer, I guess the mid clearance lights are my only clue, it is either a 29' or a 31'? (Can't remember the names for them)

ambassador '29, 1970 model

chas

pretty close guess!

nice trailer, all mechanicals with the exception of the furnace are new!

dark wood interior, center double bed, desk area with window across from the bed.

it came with about 25 vintage 8 tracks!

johnny cash, dianna ross and the supremes etc.

it has a cool wall mounted gas oven made for airsteam, can't remember the manufacuter.(magic chef??)

best of all, single pane windows. no leaks in the vista's.

John,

I would give my left (whatever) to have that 8-track and the tapes!!

Yes, the wall oven is a "Custom made for Airstream Magic Chef", just like what is in my Overlander. So what that it sticks out into the rear bed, that's where my wife sleeps.

Let these people enjoy it for a good trip before you turn them onto the forum, after they start hanging around here they will wonder how they ever made it across the US in one piece. (axles, rear end sag, roof leaks, tire balancing, floor rot,, , , , ,

yeah thats it! kinda aqua colored. bet shari would like one that color.

odd that it sticks into the bed area. they musta figured your feet go under there.

neat little compartment on the back of the oven.

as for the forum, he has been here a couple of times. i'm sure he will be back!

Chas,

It is a 29 foot ambassador. Bigger kitchen and bath with center twins( sometimes). The extra length is used to give you closets between the head of the bed and the bathroom as well as a bigger front lounge.

Guess that means I'm a "Type-A" huh?! Doesn't "A" stand for aqua?

Groovy man!

Shari,

What, does everyone think you are, the resident ex-hippie here or what? I guess you could be pinned for worse. I figure I am lucky and pretty much missed the aqua colors on my 74. It is very interesting to see the differences thru the late 60's and early 70's. I did get my full share of brown though, way too much brown but the good thing is it hides the dirt. Got the sticky walls too and found the best solution is just don't touch them. The upholstery is not bad either, some light yellowy flowered designs and also got the yellow formica which seems to be a common thread througout the 70's.

Chas,

At least you got the yellow formica. We had the burnt orange in our 74. Light ovacado in out 77 that was not bad, but the 76 MH had a lime green on lime green pattern that was BAD. The new one is ivory, bland but nice.

Tari bought those for me before we left WI. They really helped driving through NEB, Iowa, and MN.
They need to be shined though!
