Airstreams on TV

HI, I am new here and having a heck of a time posting! I just wanted to let everyone know that the DIY channel is running a special on restoring Airsrteams. I don’t know if this is old news, but it begins again in March. The web site is www.diynetwork.com and they have a ton of cool links to Manufacturers and also step by step guidelines to what they did. Very cool! I cut and pasted the description of the first show in case anyone is interested:
WildWest
"Airstream Introduction, Inspection, History and Tear-Out Interior - Episode"
Host Kevin Tetz gives viewers a tour of our classic 27-foot 1970 Airstream travel trailer, which is road worn and dated. Then he inspects the RV systems, such as gas and electric, with certified RV technician Xavier Taylor from Camper's Corner RV Center. They find that there are many items that are not up to codes or need repair. Kevin also shares some great Airstream restoration resources, and he takes a trip down the Airstream history road, including vintage footage and photos, factory tours, 1970's television ads and current Airstream models. Let the fun begin as the Classic Rides team tears out much of the interior to get started on the restoration!

Welcome to the forum. Oh yes, everyone on here knows about the Airstream restoration. I doubt if anything Airstream gets by these guys. If you need extra help with your trailer, just ask on here. Log on during the day to see what's going on. You'll get lots of information

Welcome to the forum. I believe you are the first new member to post the DIY show info on their first post so congratulations. I look forward to reading more of your posts and seeing pictures of your restoration.

Welcome Wildwest! Thanks for letting us know about the broadcast. We didn't get our AS until the end of December so we didn't know about the December airing. Things get lost in the shuffle here. There are a lot of new members (like myself) that will be glad to know about anything related to restorations.

Welcome to the forum!

I just wanted to add that Kevin Tetz is an ok guy in my book! After hearing him talk about the AS resto on the Vintage Airstream Podcast show, I went to his Paintucation website and ordered a DVD about How To Paint Your Car (because as many know I also have a classic Mustang project I'm working on). Before I got a chance to watch the DVD my very bad dog chewed it up! But I was able to reach Kevin through his forums and he said no problem, he'd replace it, but he wanted the chewed up disc for his 'wall of shame' He said it was the first time he'd heard that one!
