Bigfoot Truck Smashes AS

I had to see it. Here are several screengrabs from the cartoon. The truck jumps off a ramp and lands/bounces on the little AS. I hope no one was in it! But, since it was off a ramp, I am sure it was planned that way...yeah, that's it.

I can't help wishing that they would have chosen a white SOB was instead though.

Maybe they showed the strength of the Bigfoot truck by collapsing a monocoque constructed trailer though...

Did anybody see Stargate Atlantis last night? The alien bad-guy was hold up in a mid 70's Overlander out in the dessert near Las Vegas. The Air Force took him out with a couple of A-10's. Pretty spectacular explosion.

Two A-10s? Must have had pretty good axles then. Dontcha just love the way TV juices up explosions with a lot of gasoline?

I was listening to Paradise radio this last week when Shawn Colvin came on singing about the Wichita skyline,
Quote:
I rode on the airstream across the great lonesome afternoon
I wished hard enough to hurt, drove fast enough to catch the moon
But I must have been dreaming again 'cause there's nothing around the bend
Except for that flat fine line, the Wichita skyline

No, my Sovereign has a rear bath, mine was used for exteriors, while a second one was (sniff) chopped and quartered for interior shots.

Airstreams in the Movies...

This may be a repeat of an earlier post, but I was rather shocked to find a movie by the title Motor Home Massacre. The cover features what appears to be a classic Airstream Motorhome. I have no idea whether the Airstream is features in the movie as it is one that I haven't seen.

I am not a great fan of horror films, but this box cover did catch my interest.

If you have SyFy channel, watch "My name is Bruce" tonight, starring Bruce Campbell. Lots of nice gore and Airstream footage.

That's our Airstream- a 1959 Sovereign of the Road International!!!! We didn't know it was in the movie when we purchased it!

It's on right now!! Some good screen time the trailer gets!

This You Tube video of the Astronaut Farmer may already be posted, but I have not looked at all the threads. You will see an airstream in the video a few times. You need to watch the whole thing.

Have you seen the 1937 short film Here Today Gone Tomorrow by Chevrolet? There is what looks like a pre aluminum Airstream at 1:22.

Here's another newsreel from 1937. Note the Airstream at the bottom right corner between 26 and 30 seconds in.

Is this the oldest aluminum Airstream in a movie?

There is an Airstream in The Long Long Trailer. At the beginning of the Trailer Show scene it is one of the trailers in the background. It is only on the screen for a few seconds so you have to look sharp to notice it.

There is also one in the first trailer park they stay in.
