matt and his tin can keep moving.....

last week he was at a small rv park north of the kc area....drank beer and tried to ride a unicyle with a "local" full timer who had never heard of him or seen any of his movies.....he liked that no one knew who he was....

looks like the pattern for each location is to wait till 'leaving day' to do the news story which keeps groupies from finding him....good idea.

had i know where he was i'd have driven out just to see the trailer.

cheers

no doubt someone has mentioned in this thread that his travel diary can be read on the mtv website.....really the only reason most of us would ever go to mtv.com

Swingers

A friend told me about the movie Swingers. A comedy from the mid 90's with Vince Vaughn, Heather Graham and a few others, that had an Airstream in it. I rented it over the weekend, and there was a long scene filmed inside of a 70's Airstream. Some pretty good shots. I never ended up watching the whole movie. Strangely enough, the movie was much like the recent movie Sideways, about two guys that head out on a weekend of trying to put the moves on some women, and there just happens to be an Airstream in it.

Mork & Mindy

Just got done watching "Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Mork & Mindy" on ABC. There were many scenes inside and outside of a mid 70's Airstream which was Robin Williams' dressing room. In at least one scene there was even a second Aistream (someone elses dressing room?). The trailers looked to be in perfect condition.

It's a commercial right now, but on the Disney channel is Toothless starring Kirsty Alley with a bunch of vintage units set up as staging areas in limbo while your fate is decided after you expire. At least one is pre-'65. Saw it once before pre-aluminitus days.

If you want to search any tv show go here and type in Airstream: http://video.google.com/

It's curious...I posted that link to the "in the news" forum last week but it didn't get past the moderators

The new channel in FRANCE, named " FRANCE 4 " presents each week-ends evenings, concerts in live ( this week-end it was " le printemps de Bourges 2005 ) and the compére, Ray Cokes, ex-MTV ,presents and interviews the groups in a studio remodeled Airstream .Only the aluminium body is kept in his genuine shape but inside, all was removed as a loft now...
May be are you able to get this channel with the satelite ?

Spotted an Airstream on CSI tonight. It was "parked" in the background of a helicopter pad/airstrip.

Dr. Grey's doctor boyfriend lives in an Airstream on Grey's Anatomy. Nice looking set-up.

Was that an AS on Alias tonight? It looked like a late 50's early 60's.

Did anyone see the '57 style Airstream dog house shown at the end of Good Morning America? It was at the very end of the show and so they didn't say much about it, only that it was by Straight Line. Can't find anything about it on the Internet though.

Greg,

Any idea when that happened or what happened to the trailer?

It was the last show of the second season.Shows trailer on fire so don't think it survived.not a good idea to tow an Airstream with a Bronco2.The tag line to the show is "Big plans little brains".
