But WHAT the heck did this ACTION do to your axles?? Did you have any LP appliances running? What tire pressure did you use? Whew -- my swivel chair here at the computer is ruined. We'll have to ask Inland Andy's advice

Don't worry...No Airstreams were endangered in anyway during the filming of this commercial...P.E.T.A.* would be proud!

I'll bet we could add to this list over time. Lets all try. Good Post idea points to InsideOut for starting it up.

I know the movie "Thinner" used an Argosy 24' trailer in several scenes.

Honest, I did see your wheels disappear up into the wheel wells and was sure you'd need a new Dura Torque. At least it's a single...

Didn't an Airstream get shot up in the first Lara Croft Tomb Raider ?

Not actually built by AS

But it is aluminum, my son thinks the rocket launcher would be handy in traffic.

Swordfish

The John Travolta movie, "Swordfish", features a 34' Airstream trailer in the last 5 minutes of the movie.

here in the netherlands we had a TV program
" all you need is love"
they used an vintage airstream to tour around and used it as a mobile studio for interviews
that was about 4 years ago I think even now when people see my airstream they are saying He that is robert den brink
" that was the name of the gut presenting the program"
his caravan

The RV? Used in Damnation Ally is custom built by Barris, If I remember right. Called the Landmaster. Also used in a Quiet Riot music video.

One More

Just sitting around being worthless today, landed on a late 90's class B horror flick "Trucks"while channel surfing....

Had a couple of Airstreams in it.

another Airstream Movie?

In People magazine (Feb 16, pg. 29) there is a full page ad showing an Airstream on the road. It reads, "On the journey to end their marriage, love was the last thing they expected to find." The movie is World Premiere Movie Sunday Feb 15 9/8c CBS, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, "It Must Be Love"

Another movie

Does any one know the other movies with Airstreams featured or making cameo apperances?
The only one that comes to minds is Whats eating Gilbert Grape. Great movie, they all live happily ever after and leave in an Airstream caravan!!

For fun lets try to list any movie with an Airstream in it!!

Ted Danson and Mary Steenbergen??, I think I'll pass.

I saw the promo for that. They supposedly crash their Airstream Classic MH and end up "finding" each other in the experience.

Should be good watching for our resident classic mh nuts.

I saw what looked like a half dozen or so Airstreams in "Mars Attacks" last night.

movie

I hope the crashing of the Airstream is all special effects. They should have a disclaimer "NO Airstreams were harmed in the making of this movie."

Baghdad Cafe

Great to hear about a new Airstream movie.

Baghdad Cafe is my all-time favorite. It's got great interior shots of a '50ish vintage trailer (if you don't mind seeing nipples). Mars Attacks was fun, and of course The Long, Long Trailer is a classic.

Check out this previous thread for A.S. movie lists and "reviews:"

Thanks Cruiser,

IT looks like they covered all the movies on the other thread. I saw a lot of good ones I will have to watch again and play spot the Airstream. That could become a drinking game with the right movie.

Airstream Movies

There was also a Airstream on Crossing Jordan. A murderer was traveling around with it. It had a lot of evidence inside , so when they closed in he burned it down.
