On the Lot - Fox Reality show

Anyone see last Tuesday's show? One of the contestants used an Airstream in their 2.5 minute presentation. Of course it was our family favorite!

You can watch it here: On The Lot: Episodes

Anyone seen " Are we done yet"? Nice Airstream in it. Looks like an Overlander or Sovereign. They look a lot alike on the inside. Does it belong to anyone on the forums?

Motor Home Massacre

There's a movie called Motor Home Massacre (Welcome To Motor Home Massacre) that my RV was in.

Cheers,
Allen

Wow!
Been looking for that movie...
Saw it in the discount area, already had a handful, and passed.
Now cannot find it anywhere.

Is your MH haunted now?

Saw a Airstream on TV tonight in a story about Talladega race fans, was on its way out after race.

Last night we were watching a re-run of M*A*S*H and a general was using a 1940's era (I think) Airstream as a mobile command center. It had a door-within-a-door and the oval window in each end. It looked like it was covered with an olive green canvas cover material and was towed by a jeep. It was a single axle trailer.

I agree the Airstream stole the show. Is it a rear bedroom?

Great movie with Airstreams

Netflix sent me " What's Eating Gilbert Grape" as on of my movie picks this month. It was one of the first movies Johnny Depp ever did and Leonardo DeCaprio is in it as a teenager. Anyway, it opens with a long caravan of Airstreams coming over a hill. An Airstream figures prominently throughout the movie after a single woman and her granddaughter break down and have "to miss the rally", and spend time outside a small town in Texas waiting for a part for their International. There's even even a very excellent and realistic interior shot. I don't want to give away the closing scene but Airstreams are a big part.

As the credits rolled, at the end there was a "special thanks to the Airstream Club of Texas"

It's an outstanding movie even if it didn't have Airstreams in it...

Bigfoot Truck Smashes AS

I had to see it. Here are several screengrabs from the cartoon. The truck jumps off a ramp and lands/bounces on the little AS. I hope no one was in it! But, since it was off a ramp, I am sure it was planned that way...yeah, that's it.

I can't help wishing that they would have chosen a white SOB was instead though.

Maybe they showed the strength of the Bigfoot truck by collapsing a monocoque constructed trailer though...

Did anybody see Stargate Atlantis last night? The alien bad-guy was hold up in a mid 70's Overlander out in the dessert near Las Vegas. The Air Force took him out with a couple of A-10's. Pretty spectacular explosion.
