Northern Exposure

This is the best I could do with a quick search ... I have been trying to find better pics of Chris's AS for a while. Two small glipses a this site:

Smile Another A/S .. First Wave

SCIFI show

Spotted a A/S on the SCIFI channel last week. Show was called "First Wave"..As I don't normally watch this channel , I'm unable to say if this sighting is of a weekly or rerun show. The A/S appears to be of the 70's vintage.

ciao

I stumbled on to a movie on the Sci Fi channel also that had lots of shots of Airstreams. i can't remember what the name was, but it had one of the Hemingway sisters as the main character. Her brother lived in an old Airstream in her back yard, and turned in to a "wolfman" every time it got dark. Lots of good shots of the Airstream. I have no idea what era the movie was from, but it didn't seem that old.

I saw 8 Legged freaks. Poor movie and a waste of a good Airstream.

i just watched a old movie called beyond law.
i thought it was ok but could have been written better than it was.
there was a 30 sec. shot of a aristream right after the under cover cop beat up the undercover fbi agent.
dont know the year or model but the a/s had yellow stripes.

airstream on TV????

I noticed what looked like an airstream trailer in "Miami:CSI" last night but they only showed the rear.
of course the owner was dead....
anyone else see it and do you know what model it was???

Missed that but did see a commercial last week during "American Idol" on Fox for some hair product called "Garnier Fructis". It had a late 60's A/S International in it.

Just saw a special on Yellowstone on the History Channel. They had a four or five second video of three A/S TTs and one A/S MH rounding a curve in the park. Nice to see the producer has good taste.

Rent "Simone"...

There are a few scenes with Airstreams in the movie "Simone" with Al Pacino that came out on video/DVD about a month or so ago. I now realize that there are people on this forum that get just as nutty as me to see an AS imotalized on celluloid. It was not a bad movie either...

Another Airstream type in the movies...

I just saw Identity this evening. For those who have seen it and those who will see it, I saw what looked like a very old Airstream in the movie. It was in the picture several times with a good interior shot as well. I was kind of thinking it looked like one of those "Avon" types, but I am no expert when it comes to the legacy Airstreams.

At any rate it was one of my favorite parts of the movie.

Has anyone ever put together a list of AS in the movies. I have seen them in;
8 legged freaks,
Raising Arizona,
Long, long trailer (duh),
and a lot of others. It would be interesting to see a complete list.

Matt LeBlanc's RV was no longer water-tight in the movie "Charlie's Angels", which aired last night, ABC. It got pretty perforated from a couple of semi-auto toting dudes. It was a longer trailer. Not sure which one. The interiors look as if it was shot on a set, as it appeared bigger than Airstreams I have seen....

I rented that movie this weekend. Aside from the Airstreams, it was hilarious!! I loved it. Don't know why I never heard of it before.

I also rented "A Perfect World" with Clint Eastwood. It has an Airstream in the central plot. A good crime movie.

This seems to be the definitive Airstreams in the Movies site:

I just finished watching the Airstream Caravan videos that I bought from the VAC. They were great! I'd love to find one of those old Ford or International 4x4 pickups to pull the Overlander around with (short trips only). I also got a copy of "Roam Sweet Home" which too was fun to watch.

There were several threads started here too, which list some additional ones...actually, I'm going to merge all these threads with the earliest one...so they'll all be in one place.

You can add this to the list!

Satellite Soul is a Christian rock band that tours the county in an Airstream trailer. Inside the cover of this album it says that Airstream trailers are the official trailer of Satellite Soul.

I have the CD and play it in my MH!
