Who are you? I didn't get a chance to get my phone on before you went too far down the road. A mid-size newer AS and a large extended white/light colored truck. Driving north on San Marco A1A in Saint Augustine, FL today!! I was walking my dog southbound, and stopped in my tracks & waved

You must have found that lost bauxite mine
I think you just blew the lid off those guys secret claim. I'll bet Inyokern was just to the East.
That was amazing that you spotted and got that photo from so far away. I'm proud of you.

The wife's got a good eye for aluminum & a powerful telephoto lens. The road had a real wide shoulder so I stopped.

Just helped a friend buy this sweeheart for $2500.00. Other than the axles and brakes, she's in great shape. Some amateur tried to "polish" it, but I think my friend got what he wanted for the price, even the fridge and the roof air (looked almost new) works!

Okay, who was north bound on I-65 in Louisville Ky today around lunch time????? Appeared to be an early 70's 31 footer, but traffic was heavy & I was south bound so I'm not absolutely certain.

On Friday 04/22 spotted a late 70's early 80;s AS west bound on Hwy. 11 in Wolfe City, TX I was going east and we were both going fast so didn't get much info. Saturday 04/23 spotted, I think the same, AS going south bound on Hwy. 34 in Greenville, TX pulled by a red truck. Was this the couple from Commerce TX? Nice looking rig!!

Sorry just checked member,s gallery - it was not from Commerce TX. Had blue side striping. I need to have my camera ready next time I am on the road.
I also spotted and older AS parked in a yard between Ladonia and Bonham Tx. Will go back and get pixs of it. Looked abandoned for travel and used for storage. Will see if I can find out if it is for sale.

Spotted a late 60's/early 70's ish 29-31'er traveling South bound on I95 just north of Richmond, VA around 6PM Friday, April 15th. My wife spotted it but we were traveling the other way and all I got was a glimpse in the side mirror. We were headed towards ours when we passed you.

The WBCCI #23 on the windshield is the second lowest currently in usage and is without a doubt the oldest and longest continuously used WBCCI number ever. It was first assigned to Paul and Frances Towsley for Airstream Caravan #2 - Mexico West Winter 1952-53. The Towsley's are listed in the original 1955 Wally Byam's Caravanners Directory. Their son Thomas, who was on that 1952-53 Caravan as a child, still has #23 in the 2011 Directory! I met Thomas and his wife at the 2009 International Rally in Madison, WI. Paul and Thomas were jointly listed for #23 for many years.

This is just too weird, I was south bound on I-65 coming out of Louisiville this morning and spotted another AS headed north within a few miles of my where I encountered earlier posting. Today was a newer, shorter unit being towed by a white 4 door chevy truck. I spotted this unit today just before lunch, somewhere around 10:30-11:00 AM prevailing time. Is I-65 an AS magnet or what?

We were up at Quartz Mountain State Park to feed the deer, and drove past this one....stopped, backed up forty feet, took the picture and then waved to who I bet was two people (streamers) sitting behind that tinted window inside. But wait thats not the end of this one...There is a humungus Cedar lodge being constructed about a mile outside the park, and lo and behold the builder/manager lives onsight in another airstream. Here's the link to what these guys do. INCREDIBLE!

I was just moving my AS from Davenport to Akron Colorado on Wednesday and was amazed at all the AS's we saw on I-80. Now I know why.
Then on Thursday just after I got it backed into my parents yard in Akron Colorado, a VERY SMALL town, I got called to the window by my dad and there was an OLD polished AS being pulled out of the alley next to their house by a Toyota Sport Ute. Dont know what year of the AS but it had 2 round tailights on the back and it was sort of sloped from roof to bumper, I guess it was from the early 60's about 20' long. Akron, CO is a small town and I was surprised to see a very nice vintage AS all polished up.

Saw an Excella being pulled into Bismarck about 4:30 PM tonight on my way home. It was headed in on Highway 83 from the north...I wanted to spin around and follow them but I think they might think I was stalking them. It is just so unusual to see any AS up here that you really notice them.
