It was dusk when we walked by it. Dark next morning as we had to get out so they could pull ours into the shop. Then, we had to get going when ours was finished to make the Keys by Friday. 😔

We are staying at Pecan Grove RV Park in Austin for a few nights and I'm amazed at how many Airstreams are in this park-I think about five or six are parked near us, which is the most I've ever seen together in one place, besides being at a rally. We also camped at Fort Sam Houston's fam camp in San Antonio for the week and there were two more there, too...I was dying to ask the folks with the new Classic there if I could take a peek at it, but I didn't want to be "that camper," lol.

Visit one of the two Airstream Parks in Texas and you'll see a bunch of Airstreams parked together.

Last week, over two days, I traveled from southern central FL to NC. I saw so many Airsteams I lost count.
Snowbirds going home for summer, people coming to FL for spring break, and Easter vacation = lots of people traveling.

One of the homesteading long term residents dry camping at the Navy dry camp in Key West. Crusty old fart, retired Navy alcoholic Captain. Said his ex   is bleeding him dry and the trailer and VW are all he has left. And yes that is a class 2 hitch with no weight distribution or anti-sway. Must be a thrill to tow.

He must have something bigger engine in that VW than a 2.1 engine. I've seen v-6 and v-8 put into one of them before. I wish mine had a v-8 in mine it would make a cool TV.
